The Win vs. The Loss The Kansas City Chiefs Avoided In The NFL

After a thrilling taste of football victory in front of the world on Monday Night Football the Chiefs trade for a pair of new players as we say goodbye to yesteryear’s favorite Canadian Doctor: LDT, while we ponder if the Chiefs won or prolonged a loss with VICTORY. Join AG to discuss…

Hello Arrowhead Guys. Now that the dust has settled on the Kansas City Chiefs GIANT victory on Monday Night Football and is officially the history books as a W. What’s next for the Kansas City Chiefs besides their match-up next Sunday against the famed Green Bay Packers at Arrowhead Stadium? Oh nothing, they’re just tinkering with the roster of the red and gold. Trading this piece for that and shuffling up the roster scene like a deck of cards with 53 pieces before the trade deadline came and went like poker night yesterday. Before we get into the players the Chiefs gained and the win the team earned vs. the players the Chiefs lost and the loss the team avoided. Let’s remind you of the moves the organization has Veach’d into the NFL bag to find this week.

Hello, Melvin Ingram and Dan Brown: The Da Vinci CHIEFS!

Goodbye Dr. Canadian Football in America’s Heartland: LDT Forever!

Curly Lambeau vs. Andy Reid!

Melvin Ingram says…

Grunny will be my next Chiefs Ring of Honor piece!

Next, if anything can positively spin this season it’s THE FRANCHISE.

They’ll probably mention NICK BOLTON – Rookie of the Month!

After you feel all warm and fuzzy… think about this next game:

Except without Rodgers due to the Corona Virus.

Now–back to this win that was almost a loss. But wasn’t!

It was a WIN!

The result was a win and a win is a win is a win, Right? That seems to be the consensus, but it also seems to be the fanatical worry because a lot of folks in the media and fans within Chiefs Kingdom are not sold on the team or their WIN against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. However, it’s hard not to agree with them. The Kansas City Chiefs seemed like they were doing all they could do to lose the game and the New York Giants seemed like they were doing all they could do to not win the game. It was a boring low scoring affair that had the fans inside Arrowhead worn out and bored by the time the fourth quarter arrived. In the place we were watching, there was something in the air that felt like the Chiefs were going to lose. When Kyle Rudolph scored a touchdown, I heard a Chiefs fan ask, Kyle Rudolph is still in the league? Yes he is, and believe it or not after a decade in Minnesota–he’s still only 32 years old. I remember some fans wanting the Chiefs to grab him before he landed with the Giants.

Despite the Giants and Rudolph the red nosed touchdown. The Chiefs still needed the win and they got it! Now I just wanted to have you all think about what this place would be like had the Chiefs lost that game at home. Are you doing it? Picture it! A GIANT LOSS! Ouch! But that’s not the case, the Kansas City Chiefs won and even though they didn’t do it in impressive fashion it was still a win that can propel this team back on the correct track. Whereas a loss would have set this team and fan base back in a much more brutal fashion than a squeaker win against a 2-5 football team provides.

Conclusion

Our beloved Kansas City Chiefs are back at .500 with a record of 4-4. They’re half way through a 17 game season and they’re getting an opportunity to face the Green Bay Packers without one of the best football players on Earth, Aaron Rodgers. It sounds an awful lot like a blessing, but if I know Chiefs fans we’re probably also more worried about facing Jordon Love than A.R.#12 because of old Chiefs stigmas of losing to back-up QB’s like they’re the second coming of well… Aaron Rodgers.

With these Chiefs, I don’t necessarily think this a current concern to the level of say the Damon Huard Chiefs or the Matt Cassel Chiefs, but I do think the Chiefs are going to have to be ready for anything and that even if the Packers put Krusty the Clown back there at QB… the Chiefs need to generate some pass rush. Really though, the pass rush at the end of the game is what sealed the W for the Chiefs against the Giants. So let’s give credit where credit is due, the defense won that game. However, the Chiefs can’t rest on that victory. They’re going to have do that and more to get past the Packers and we’d all LOVE to see some more pass rush on Love so that we can all love another VICTORY that includes sacks. That way we can all be at McDonald’s on Monday eating Big Mac’s like, I’m Loving it!

I must have lost my touch, I thought my latest rant was going to draw some ire, ruffle some serious feathers. Ah, well, there’s always next week, or next insight, whichever comes first.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m sure that a lot of folks here remember when I was given to wall-of-text comments, sometimes in cascades. I say far less these days, so I kinda gotta wonder how much of an improvement it’s been, because along with the length reduction (and possibly a quality improvement), there have been downsides along with the upsides, some of which are painfully obvious. Good or bad, I can’t step outside myself to see the changes, but that’s true of everyone.

I think your last 3 were hyped (by you) as being controversial and they have all been received quite well.

This is you preparing to release the articles:comment image

I’ve never understood why LDT got the hate that he did here. Damien Williams took the year off for COVID as well and didn’t take the flak.

Maybe I heard wrong, but I thought Williams took the year off because his mom had stage 4 cancer. I’m not sure what noble might mean to us, but I’m sure his family appreciated it.
