Hello Arrowhead Guys. How are you doing with this offseason? The Kansas City Chiefs are steady building their roster. The NFL Draft is still a couple-few weeks away. After the Tyreek Hill trade, the Red and Gold do have a dozen draft picks, but still have a couple-few glaring weaknesses on the roster. Where are you at in the process, AG? Are you still mourning the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals? Are you still wondering why the Chiefs kept Frank Clark? Are you still flabbergasted that the CHEETAH morphed into a DOLPHIN? [ed: Some of us remember that Flipper was faster than lightning] Are you simply ready for some football? A Monday Night Party?
No place like home ❤️

What? You’re Ready?
Well too bad. Relax! It’s still just April. Football is months away and Arrowhead Stadium is sitting empty, like Tyreek Hill’s abandoned locker within the confines of our gridiron sanctuary, and it’s so hella GEHA that it’s actually sponsored by GEHA. I’m not attempting to bum you out, but if I did, I’m willing to make that sacrifice. As the point is, the Kansas City Chiefs still have a lot of offseason left to build this team. Before the season starts, the Chiefs have to get through the rest of April, May, June, July and August before they hit the field in September. Speaking of September, here’s the Kansas City Chiefs Football Schedule for the 2022 NFL Season:
Chiefs Schedule!
Just kidding. That’s how early it is. The Chiefs have their opponents out, but it is scheduled to be released sometime either late this month or in early May. Here’s a look at the Chiefs opponents for the 2022 NFL Season:

But first, MOAR Chiefs!!!
The NFL Draft is coming up soon. As I mentioned previously, the Kansas City Chiefs have a ton of draft picks. If you want specifics, I could tweet you the list… but I think you have got your fill of scrolling through stuff you’re just going to skim anyway. So let me copy and paste a list, just in case you don’t know the Chiefs order yet from doing fake online drafts like the best and brightest Twitter GM’s on Earth. As Eminem once said: “I got a list, here’s the order of my list that it’s in:”
- 1st round (29th overall)
- 1st round (30th overall)
- 2nd round (50th overall)
- 2nd round (62nd overall)
- 3rd round (94th overall)
- 3rd round (103rd overall)
- 4th round (121st overall)
- 4th round (135th overall)
- 7th round (234th overall)
- 7th round (244th overall)
- 7th round (252nd overall)
- 7th round (260th overall)
Do your own MOCKDRAFT!

It might be worth your time, and it will definitely educate you on whom the Chiefs can potentially select. However, with the Chiefs having such a stockpile of picks. I highly doubt it’s going to look anything like how the mocks shake out because Brett Veach and Co. are probably going to trade around a little bit. From a needs standpoint, I think the Chiefs will go after WR, CB and Pass Rush. That said, I don’t know how the Chiefs feel about their roster and some of the folks the Chiefs already have waiting in the wings. Especially since the Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill and let the Honey Badger walk away along with big pieces of the team like Pringle, Sorenson and Ward… etc.
The Kansas City Chiefs are going to look so different as a team next year because they’re going to have to completely shift their game plan without these pieces. In the end, I believe this will be a good thing, as the Chiefs have not achieved their ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl in a couple of seasons. Patrick Mahomes is going to have us in the conversation for a Lombardi Trophy every season because he’s one of the best players to come into the NFL in generations. He’s that Franchise Quarterback we used to dream about and debate about every year offseason as the Chiefs refused to groom their own superstar QB for over three decades.
Now that Patrick Mahomes is around, the Chiefs need to just shift his weapons. As for the defense, I think that Justin Reid was a huge get, as he will go so well with the LB’s the Chiefs possess in Gay and Bolton. Off the jump even before the draft, the Chiefs are going to be a different team next season. As the NFL Draft approaches and passes, we will start to see the Kansas City Chiefs’ long-term plan. It’s going to be hard for the Chiefs to mess this up with that man draft selections. Even just looking at the players I selected in a few minutes, it would complete change the Chiefs team. Obviously, that’s not who the Chiefs will end up with, but it does illustrate the Chiefs’ potential to land some quality players with their first six picks that fans keep talking about. Additionally, the Chiefs have six selections after that, and I feel like Veach does okay with those picks too. Either selecting a good player or finding guys that elevate the competition on the roster.
Conclusion!
It’s true, it’s going to be a long offseason. Perhaps not a Kyle Long offseason like last year, but long nonetheless. So far, I understand what the Chiefs are doing. I don’t necessarily like every move, but it’s all intriguing. I like adding Rojo-JuJu-MVS to the offense. I like that the Chiefs are keeping Blake Bell again. I like that Burton is getting another year to be the fullback. I like that Wylie seems to be getting better every year and while he’s not a world beater, he’s capable. I like that Mahomes is already working with his new weapons like JuJu and even Coleman… On defense, I love the Reid signing. I like that they brought Nnadi back and added players like Bush, Stallworth and Carter. Some are against it, but I even like the Clark restructure. It just makes sense. Frank may have been overpaid, and the Chiefs may need to get more pressure, but Clark knows the defense and is a solid player the Chiefs don’t have to replace. If the Chiefs draft a dominant energized rookie to spell him, I think he may re-find some juice in the tank as he’s going to pretty much be playing for a contract this season.
Overall, I’d like to see the Chiefs find big weapons for Mahomes in the draft and for Toub in the return game to give Hardman a bigger role on offense with Hill gone. I’d like to see the Chiefs draft players that can make an impact sooner rather later with players with less high ceilings and more ready to go floors. Yet, I know Brett Veach seems to think long term with drafts and “Veach for the Stars” so that may not happen, but it’s my two cents… In the meantime, I wouldn’t mind seeing the Chiefs bring in an older seasoned DE, CB and WR [ed: I’m gonna be unfair here, but JJSS and MVS are not seasoned vet WRs? Sorry, not sorry. ;)] to compete with the kids they draft and help them get game-day ready by September as the Chiefs continue to build for another Super Bowl Win. Let’s roll!

Guess the mystery joinees were not named EB.
Equal parts encouraging and frustrating (because Niemann took away snaps!).
I’m confused (easy to do, right?) by the following nuggets from Da Morning Huddle …
Budahmon
Look for Niang to excel this year
zulu trader
Niang is a bust!
… see? which is it? it can’t be both so something has to give
Good stuff, CBO! It’s nice having all the moves in one place. I can’t wait to see who we pick up in the draft and the late signings.
Um…the Chiefs tweeted out “no place like home” on April Fool’s Day, two days after their business president said the Chiefs might consider moving to KS? That seems…dumb
Home i$ Where the Heart i$
I know many of you aren’t believers in things like ghosts, but I was thinking many of these places are going to be full of angry spirits. Or, at the very least, have a heavy fog of darkness over them for a long time, much like the concentration camps still have.
yeah, I know what you mean …
powerful … thank you
PLUS … the Chiefs have (I believe) at least TWO Compensatory Picks (between rounds 3 and 4) … that’s an insane number of draft picks
yeah, it’s gonna be awhile til kickoff
good stuff as always, CBO … 5 Starz and a WRECK!
The Chiefs have apparently hosted two Georgia Bulldogs: WR George Pickens and DT Devonte Wyatt
why in the name of George Halas and all that is holy about football would ANY team want Pickens?
1) his loyalty is questionable … was originally going to Auburn then changed his mind and went to Georgia instead
2) in 2021 he barely played (injury? yup … and suspended for fighting in his Freshman year at least once) and had a total of 5 Receptions for 107 Yards and 0 TDs
3) Doesn’t seem to finish what he starts … his 2021 season he was a Junior, so he has only 2 full years of college football, and as far as I know he hasn’t graduated
all that on top of … he’s a WR, dime a dozen and KC already has a boatload of WRs, not to mention a boatload of other team needs that could be far, far better addressed in the draft than by spending precious draft picks for a mere WR
And I was criticized for saying I wanted a DT in our first four picks.
I got no problem with that
What a good looking group in that picture
CBO …..!!!!!
Nice that you compliment your pals.
We can add your ugly mug on there come fall..?. Think larch is going to make a game as well….
Think larch is going to make a game
way cool, hope all works out!
Some year we need to meet up to training camp. The weather would more to your liking.
I thought it was a police lineup.
See above…

I enjoyed our nice little 5 mile hike to find Nate’s brother. There were some nice set-ups we passed along the way.
ALL of the above
Yowzer! Nice work, CBO!
Yes. A bear waking up from winter hibernation reading this would be fully caught up and maybe feeling a little bullish.
One omission: Matt Nagy plus the addition of Cullen in the coaching staff.
