Glengarry Glen Ross is an amazing movie and much shorter than The Godfather – which should be binged watched and paired with The Godfather Part II – and maybe, sometimes, Part III.
If Dalton and the Cowboys can win three of their next four, there will be talk about moving on from Dak Prescott.
And they will have clinched the division.

I will be the dick that says this – Dak breaking whatever part of his leg or ankle is broken might be the best break that Dallas will get this year. They were going to pony us some serious money for a quarterback that is average to maybe above average in most peoples eyes. They now have an excuse to move on rather than signing him to a crippling long term contract – like Minnesota has with Kirk Cousins.
Alex Smith returns from brutal leg injury, Dak goes out with brutal leg injury. Coincidence?
So I am enjoying those Mark Hamill vs Patrick Stewart commercials. Anyone else?

I can see that happening at a later date. A Shattner wandering into the room with his cheesey lines would be epic.
Love all, but old school guy, the original Star Trek was so ahead of its time.
Not a Star Trek guy – loved the Star Wars original trilogy but not a huge fan of the follow up movies.
Star Wars A New Hope turned movie making on it’s head. The next two actually built on the original unlike most sequels. The next three that were the prequels went completely off the reservation and killed what should have been a great series.

I would hope so. Darth Vader actor and the voice actor were perfect for the middle three movies that were the first three.
David Prowse and James Earl Jones. Yes and most definitely yes. Was disappointed with the face behind the mask in Return of the Jedi.

I never sensed any conflict in the portrayal of Hayden Christianson.
Whatever the reason, his character is what didn’t fit IMO.
The two longest movie lines I ever stood in was for Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Had to stand in a huge line in the morning to get tickets for the late evening show.
Close Encounters is another classic that turned the movie industry on its head. Love the light sound show scene with the helicopter.

Truth. Have to put up with people yammering on about Avatar. It was a cowboys and indians remake from the sixties and seventies.
it wasnt even that so much as it was a environmental propaganda piece. The effects and visuals were cool, but the movie itself was awful
I stand by my original take. Take out any of the visual effects, and take it back to the sixties or seventies and it is another coboy vs indian movie. They had the same over tones with regard to the environment in those movies as well.
I grew up on that. Did not realize it didn’t run for ten seasons. It only made it to season three.

Assuming that Dak might be able to come back next year, how much would the Cowboys offer him? If Andy Dalton takes Dallas to a division title – does he show Jerry that Dak – either injured or not injured – is not worth the price?
Dalton is a ginger. My little brother is a ginger. Stay the hell away from those soulless bastidges.
Not sold on Dalton long term but it was not like Dak had the Cowboys undefeated either – and I know a huge part of the blame is on their defense. My point however – Jerry was evidently not sold on the higher number Dak was wanting, Dak has not yet won the big games that a franchise quarterback needs to win. Dak has pretty stats but a huge bunch of those are garbage time stats. If Dalton does adequate and the Cowboys win this laughable division, Jerry might decide it is time to move on.

That Would just end up being a ginger wank fest. Not something I want to witness on live TV.

Despite injury in which I wish Dak the best, still wanting Giants to win this game.. hate Dallas always have..

Loved the Staubach Cowboys – Hated the Aikman Cowboys – Have had fun these last two decades watching the Cowboys implode.
I wish I was as good at anything as Phyllis is at throwing picks in the 4th quarter.
Perhaps NFL players could buy injury insurance from the NFL – cover a portion of an expiring contract in the case of a severe injury –

If the Cowboys give up on Dak and he comes back from this injury he needs to shop around for another team. There are probably ten or so teams that could use him.
How much would they be willing to pay Dak – an average NFL quarterback at best – coming off of a gruesome injury.
Would it matter to a QB needy team? He can come back and get a team to bite at around $20 to $25 million a year for a short term contract and if he is fully recovered he could move on. The cap is going to go up and a mediocre team will pay that to get them over the hump.
Look at the market for Cam – granted coming off more than one injury. He would be lucky to make ten million a year
Then do a ten million one year deal if that is the best you can get. The best starting offer I can get is only around 70K a year, and I am at the top of my game. When I got offered $60K a year and they gave me extra vacation I jumped at it. I live in a small town (Muskogee, OK) so that is a much better offer than I was expecting. The $70K a year offer is from Tulsa companies that is an hour drive with no traffic which means I would have to drive 50 some odd miles each way. A fifteen minute commute at a lower starting pay makes up for it.
Plus I get to work from home when I want to.
You definitely think more about Dak than I do when he is healthy. Yes, he could improve some teams but it would be a gamble for all involved –

Hopefully so, dont know if you can displace a joint that far without some horrible tissue damage
he would be much better off if its a bone injury and not soft tissue, those can be very difficult to fully recover from

NFL is a business – look at how much Washington paid Alex Smith and then he gets a major injury

Cowboys made him an offer, i thought it was pretty generous actually, im still not sold on dak as an elite QB, but he chose to roll the dice. Sometimes they come up snake eyes. His 401K is still a bit better than mine tho
Washington makes Alex a decent offer – team suffers when Alex goes down
Dallas makes Dak a decent offer – Dark suffers by not accepting offer
Crazy how two different situations can have different results.
