What does WR market mean for Chiefs’ attempts to re-sign JuJu Smith-Schuster? | ChiefsWire
Well, the deal that Meyers signed isn’t too dissimilar to what Marquez Valdes-Scantling signed with Kansas City a year ago outside of the guaranteed salary. It’s certainly far and away from the outlandish contracts that players at the position saw in free agency last season. Does a slow-moving wide receiver market without any big contracts help the Chiefs or hurt them?
Lucas Niang currently part of Chiefs’ plans at right tackle | ChiefsWire
So, what does that mean for the team’s plans at right tackle? Well, the 2023 NFL draft will certainly play a role. It’s possible that the Chiefs manage to draft a left tackle of the future and keep Taylor at right tackle. It’s also possible they end up drafting a rookie to play at right tackle, but that rookie won’t be without competition.
Chiefs tender exclusive rights free agent TE Jody Fortson | ChiefsWire
NFL Network’s James Palmer reported that the team has officially tendered Fortson. He was one of three players who were slated to be an exclusive rights free agent (ERFA) in Kansas City this year. The team is required to extend a qualifying offer before free agency otherwise Fortson would become an unrestricted free agent at the opening of the upcoming free agency period. Based on his years accrued this tender amount should come in at just under $1 million for Fortson in 2023.

Report: Orlando Brown Jr. not yet signed due to position conflict | NBC Sports

Raiders To Sign WR Phillip Dorsett
with Matt Derrick
43 days until the Draft!
The #Patriots have remained engaged with several free agent wide receivers, including Odell Beckham and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Money will matter here. This isn’t the old days.
One positive on that front is the money has been less than expected for this position group so far
Hard to imagine Clyde being a Chief next season with comments like this.
Isn’t he FROM there? Maybe he’s just going home? The Saints only take our defensive guys
they can take CEH. Pretty sure the Chiefs would be better off with Miles Sanders. $ and production
Looking for 1 or 2 more solid signings – I like what we have done so far.
Saints to sign Chiefs DT Khalen Saunders | Chiefs Wire
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the New Orleans Saints are set to sign Chiefs free agent DT Khalen Saunders on a three-year deal worth $14.5 million. A St. Louis, Missouri native, Saunders was a third-round pick in 2019 out of Western Illinois University after he turned heads at the Senior Bowl. His early career in Kansas City was disrupted by an elbow injury, but he developed nicely as time went on.
Glad for him, but it sucks that CJ95’s two best friends aren’t going to be Chiefs next year.
I liked him. Will miss him
I’m surprised Burton is moving on. Maybe Payton will give him more playing time.
Someone mention the ides of March?
It appears as though Lazard is signing with the New York Jets, and OBJWR could be headed that way as well.
then all they’d need is a QB, and a defense …
Et tu Brute?
when is kickoff? are we there yet? are we???
Now with extra cream!
Gracie never looked that good
Awww. You’re gonna make her sad
