“Obviously, it’d be awesome,” Mahomes said. “To have that challenge … two times a year, every single year would be a great, great opportunity. I mean, he’s a heck of a football player. He’s been doing it for a long time that I’ve watched play and learned a lot from. But definitely, if he came to the AFC West, it would just make it a little tougher for us, but we’re up to the challenge.”

Race norming. Wow. Now, there’s an extreme example against central planning and statistical sociology.

Ha, it’s rare to see a lawyer say something that I agree with as a matter of general principle:

‘He is adamant that the program manual’s recommendation of race-based adjustments does not amount to a requirement. The neuropsychologists who evaluated former players on the league’s behalf should never have applied them, he said, and he scoffed at evidence that they felt pressured to do so.

“They’re either hiding behind their lack of courage, or they’re just plain wrong,” Seeger said. “They can pick which one. I don’t care. They’re wrong.”‘

^ That’s straight up berserker right there.

Californians, they only have paper straws. I’d rather scald my face than use those things.

Yeah, you’re right…I would rather slightly burn my face than use them, but not a full scald.

I’m old enough to remember when a lot of places used paper straws. It was normal back in the late 70’s and early 80’s.

What’s “funny” is that I have yet to see a paper straw offered from any restaurant in CA.

I remember the late ’70s and early ’80s, but I don’t remember paper straws being in them.

I do remember the paper wrappers around straws being a lot easier to get off. You used to be able to just tap the end of the straw on the table, it would punch through the paper and slide right out. Now you almost need tweezers to peel those tissue-thin wrappers off.
