Good morning AG!

Today in Chiefs history, in 2017 the Chiefs gave general manager John Dorsey the axe.

Let’s see what’s up with the team his successor put together

Chiefs’ Chris Jones provides first impressions of rookie defensive linemen | Chiefswire

When Kansas City Chiefs DT Chris Jones reported to mandatory minicamp earlier this month, he was greeted by some new faces in the locker room. Staying away during voluntary Organized Team Activities (OTAs) means that he’d yet to meet the newest rookies who had joined the team.

ESPN panel split on if Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes will be motivated by Tyreek Hill comments | Kansas City Star

Mahomes finds motivation in many places, and that is why ESPN’s Mike Greenberg believes Mahomes will have a “legendary” season in response to former KC receiver Tyreek Hill’s comment. On his “It Needed To Be Said” podcast, Hill claimed Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was more accurate than Mahomes.

Justin Reid & Trent McDuffie Celebrate Juneteenth with Visit to Negro Leagues Baseball Museum |

Two individuals walked through the double doors of a brick building earlier this month, passing by the world-famous Blue Room and the historic Gem Theatre before entering a space less than 100 feet from the intersection of 18th and Vine.

Neither man – not Kansas City Chiefs’ safety Justin Reid nor cornerback Trent McDuffie – had ever ventured to this hallowed ground before, but they would soon learn that this humble building contained the story of how sports – and the brave athletes at its forefront – helped bring about positive change to society as a whole. It’s a story that’s far too often overlooked and forgotten, but one that deserves to be told.

If anyone should understand what kind of competitor Patrick Mahomes is it should be hill. He had a bad 2nd half in the AFCCG for sure. Now tua is a more accurate QB? Now allen is considered better than Patrick? Please. Spare me. It may be a cliché but it’s true. “It’s not if you fail that’s important, it’s how you respond”. Has Patrick peaked and will now level off, or even regress? We’re gonna find out this season. My money is on Patrick.

This might be better than the “official” album version (and both versions are light-years ahead of the FFDP version, which should not exist):

What this version lacks in Mick Ralphs’ guitar, it more than makes up for in Simon Kirke’s percussion; it also sounds pretty good with the piano dominating.

Original for comparison:

Good stuff, Nova. Have a happy hump day AG.

“within the process of being coached by Joe (Cullen), he’s going to be flat and round soon”
-Chris Jones on Chiefs rookie DL Hassan.
Not sure I understand the terminology here, in my experience flat and round means pancakes.
