Former Jet Mecole Hardman catches game-winning touchdown in Chiefs’ Super Bowl win | SNY TV

https://sny.tv/articles/former-jet-mecole-hardman-game-winning-td-chiefs-super-bowl

When Mecole Hardman signed with the Jets on a one-year deal this offseason he expected to be competing for his third career Lombardi Trophy.

Fast forward just eight months later, and the speedy wide receiver was back in the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season, but again as a member of the Chiefs.

Hardman didn’t make much of an impact in the thrilling back and forth matchup, but when it mattered the most, he came through for his team.

They will send you a copy(at least used to). Every year in the 80’s and 90’s, I would have them send me the sports section during the draft. Sadly, that was the only time of year worth it.

I just looked and didn’t see a mention of how to get a copy. I’m sure they will, but as I recall from last year (I love saying that), they wanted something crazy to ship it.

Alright, Tony.
“The Disability Channel” has a guy asking Patrick questions at the Super Bowl.
Next year, we better get credentials to go to New Orleans.
We have to be as big as “The Disability Channel”

Coaching, coaching, coaching.
https://sports.yahoo.com/super-bowl-several-49ers-players-admitted-they-didnt-know-new-rules-when-ot-started-151052094.html

“Given that several Niners players admitted they didn’t know the OT rules, the last 5-10 minutes of the game could have been wildly different than what we saw. If San Francisco had scored a TD on their first possession instead of a field goal, there likely would have been several players celebrating on the sideline like they’d literally just won the Super Bowl, when they in fact still had to give the ball back to the Chiefs.
At least with the way it turned out, the Niners only have to deal with losing the Super Bowl, instead of losing the Super Bowl and embarrassing themselves by not knowing the rules of the very game they play for a living. Every storm cloud has a silver lining, right?”

I think his point was that we were being impressed NOT with the performance, but with the performance from “Mr Irrelevant”, and giving him something extra because of his draft position, and with that I’d agree. It’s kind of the reverse of my point that ragging on someone for not living up to their draft spot is wrong because the player didn’t draft themselves.
At this point, 2nd year, Purdy’s draft position is what is irrelevant. Brady being a 6th rounder is more a shot at every team passing on him at least 5 times than it is saying “Wow. For a 6th rd pick, he did ok”

Take the salt out of that comment and you get “the Chiefs didn’t throw to the guy he was covering”. (But they did on the last play of the game)

He was in on the last play of the game. Some guy named Nasrani posted a photo of Hardman’s touchdown somewhere below (or above, depending on how you sort comments) on another thread, and Ward is visible.

HEY GUYS –

Did someone say DYNASTY? Epic game. Was scared for so many moments. Still stunned.

I have a song parody for you you’re going to love. Also, I will probably do a game summary poem after this and then a season summary poem after that, and then call this year of writing Chiefs poems good. Then – I’ll start work on my 3rd book. Tentative name of the new book – “Champion Chiefs: Poems and Songs Covering the 2023-24 NFL Kansas City Chiefs”.

Presenting: “Chiefs Won the Super Bowl Tonight!” (to Kiss’ “Rock and Roll All Nite”) https://arrowheadguys.com/chiefs-song-parody-chiefs-won-the-super-bowl-tonight-to-kiss-rock-and-roll-all-nite-2023-24-nfl-playoffs-super-bowl-lviii-kc-25-vs-sf-22-ot-in-vegas/

Please read, rate, comment on the link, share. And as always… GO CHIEFS!
