NFL schedule release: Chiefs to host Ravens in 2024 season opener | Yahoo Sports

At the end of the upcoming season, the 59th Super Bowl will be played. No team has ever won three Super Bowls in a row.

The overwhelming story of the 2024 NFL season will be the Kansas City Chiefs’ pursuit of history. The Chiefs won each of the past two Super Bowls, and are looking to be the first team ever to win a third in a row.

Before fast forwarding to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans next February, there’s a regular season to be played. And it starts in Kansas City on Thursday night, Sept. 5 at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs’ opponent for the traditional opener for the reigning Super Bowl champs will be Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

Chiefs release DT Matt Dickerson, re-sign LB Cole Christiansen | NBC Sports

The Chiefs released defensive tackle Matt Dickerson on Monday. They used the roster spot to re-sign linebacker Cole Christiansen.

The Chiefs tendered Christiansen as an exclusive rights free agent but withdrew the tender May 3. He instead re-signed.

Christiansen, 26, joined the Chiefs in 2022, signing to the practice squad before the start of the season after his release from the Chargers. He has appeared in six games the past two seasons, making one tackle in 41 special teams snaps.

Chiefs Rashee Rice denies claims in court documents, asks for jury trial | KCTV 5

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice speaks through court documents and denies all accusations listed in one of two lawsuits filed against him.  He also asked a judge to either dismiss the lawsuit, or make the plaintiff provide expert testimony to back up any of the claims.  Rice’s attorney, Royce West, filed the document in Dallas on Thursday.

It is in response to a lawsuit filed by Kamlesh Desai following a crash on a Dallas highway over Easter weekend. Police said Rice and SMU wide receiver Theodore Knox were speeding when they lost control of their cars and crashed. The crash caused a pileup which injured several people.

Chiefs Recommended to Address ‘Remaining’ Needs at DT, WR, RB | Sports Illsutrated

The Kansas City Chiefs have done plenty of work this offseason, adding depth and upside at multiple positions. With things like OTAs, mandatory minicamp and training camp on the horizon, what else does general manager Brett Veach have left to do?

One outlet suggests a specific list of positions the back-to-back Super Bowl champions should consider addressing before the regular season.

I’d kick the tires. The question will be his health.

We dropped the ball if we expected to sign him for this year on the cheap.

So it’s basically him and a 2nd round rookie as Josh Allen’s only weapons…if I’m a Bills fan, I’m very concerned.

“Darin’s birth mother, Vanina Juliette “Nina” Cassotto (born November 30, 1917), became pregnant with him in the summer of 1935 when she was 17.

Nina and her mother decided to pass off her baby as Nina’s younger brother. Darin was thus taught to believe his mother Nina was his elder sister and that his grandmother Polly, who had raised him from birth, was his mother. In 1968, when Darin was 32 and considering entering politics, Nina told him the truth, reportedly devastating Darin.”

Back to back home games to start the season against 2 potential playoff teams is ideal.

Rice being suspended and Omenihu not being healthy makes it less than ideal.

I like getting Cincy early since their HC doesn’t believe in starters playing or practicing with contact during preseason, so they always look terrible the first month.

MVS interviewed with Bills, yesterday.

If Chiefs bring back a VET wr…maybe
Hardman. I’m good with existing WR’s if no additional VET wr is signed.
