Good morning, AG!

Today in Chiefs history, nothin’, Nathan, nada. Did I mention the solstice?

Patrick Mahomes on the scars of the AFC Championship | yahoo!sports

https://sports.yahoo.com/patrick-mahomes-scars-afc-championship-141937698.html

Part of the allure of drop-eight coverages? How they can manage to frustrate quarterbacks and make them impatient. Settling for checkdown after checkdown, or “taking what the defense gives you” on snap after snap can have that effect, especially if a QB is seeing a lead slip away. They become impatient, holding on to the football longer in the pocket to try and create an explosive play.

That is something Mahomes noted himself recently. “We played such a great first half. Even if we weren’t getting what we wanted in the second half, I have to get better at taking what’s there to try to get some points on the board, come away and get to the Super Bowl.”

Hosting 2026 World Cup could impact Chiefs’ future at Arrowhead Stadium | Chiefswire

Arrowhead Stadium has been the home of the Chiefs since 1972 after the franchise moved from Municipal Stadium. The team’s lease at the Truman Sports Complex doesn’t expire until 2031, but there have already been talks of moving the Chiefs from their current home. With the World Cup coming to Arrowhead, that means a new wave of renovations will also be coming to the stadium.

2022 NFL season: Who’ll get the most touches from crowded position groups? | NFL

Hardman and MVS will have to find consistency to help the Chiefs avoid a drop-off in the deep passing game. JuJu and Moore will thrive in Andy Reid’s system as slot receivers with big play ability. That said, JuJu has the potential to emerge as the No. 1 receiver behind Kelce because we’ve seen his track record when playing second fiddle to one of the league’s best.

Chiefs 2022 schedule preview, Week 4: Buccaneers | Chiefswire

The Bucs took care of some key players this offseason. They gave each of receiver Chris Godwin, running back Leonard Fournette, center Ryan Jensen and cornerback Carlton Davis new three-year contracts. The Bucs also added receivers Russell Gage and Breshad Perriman, plus safety Logan Ryan during free agency.

Patrick Mahomes: Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s done a great job of learning the offense | profootballtalk

Kansas City signed him to a three-year deal in March, bringing in the speedy receiver after he spent his first four seasons with the Packers. He missed several games due to injury in 2021, finishing the year with 26 catches with 430 yards with three touchdowns.

At the end of the Chiefs’ offseason program last week, quarterback Patrick Mahomes said Valdes-Scantling has been a quick study, acclimating himself to the team well.

Chiefs S Juan Thornhill selected in first round of PFF’s 2019 NFL re-draft | chiefswire

During Thornhill’s rookie season, he posted 58 total tackles, three interceptions, five passes defended and a defensive touchdown before suffering a torn ACL in the final game of the regular season. He hasn’t quite had the same success since his injury, but he’s aiming to have a big year in 2022. He was selected in the second round at pick No. 63 overall, so this is a pretty big jump for him in terms of his draft slot.

Sorry for the lack of content today. A substation(?) went down last night, so we were without power for over 8 hours.

Up here on the iron range, it’s a blistering 81F, but I think I’ll survive. 😀

The important thing is you’re back up and running (?) now, and you’re able to stay cool and hydrated.

the show is called “Stuck in Time with Dave Ward” … and all music has the word “time” in the title … 30’s 40’s thru 60’s 70’s 80’s and more … jump swing / standards / classic rock / blues / country / Americana … you name it, I’m liable to play it

Alexa played 106.9 LP and I got a Tunein station that thinks I’m going to hell. WJHF, which I think stands for “Would Jesus Hit First?”. That’s open for debate.
So, because I am a dedicated fanboy, I went to the link on the computer. Unable to stream with two different browsers.
I’m sure you were great.
