Good morning, AG!

Today in Chiefs’ history, Mike Livingston born 1945, Junior Siavii born 1979.

In Estonian, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Mandarin Chinese, the name for Wednesday translates to “third day.”

Harper & Brothers published Herman Melville’s masterpiece Moby Dick in 1851. In 1889, American journalist Nellie Bly began her around-the-world race against the record of Phileas Fogg, hero of Jules Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days; she completed the journey in slightly more than 72 days.

In 1915, Educator, reformer, and first president and principal developer of Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute (now Tuskegee University) Booker T. Washington, the most influential spokesman for African Americans in the late 19th and the early 20th century, died at age 59.

Six-year-old Ruby Bridges began attending William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans, becoming the youngest of a group of African American students to integrate schools in the American South in 1960.

In 1969, Apollo 12 was launched, carrying a crew of Charles Conrad, Jr., Richard F. Gordon, Jr., and Alan L. Bean, and five days later the mission made the second landing on the Moon.

Eagles Swap Tight Ends, Sign ‘Athletic’ Ex-Cardinal Ahead of Chiefs Game

https://heavy.com/sports/philadelphia-eagles/news-rumors-roster-moves/

The tight end moves are particularly interesting given the team is expected to place starter Dallas Goedert on injured reserve. This would mean Goedert misses at least four games with the potential to be sidelined longer.

Bye week breakdown: Taking a look at Chiefs TE Travis Kelce’s 2023 season so far | Chiefs Wire

https://twitter.com/TheChiefsWire/status/1724487406781452748

Kelce’s role in Kansas City’s offense remains a focal point for Chiefs fans amid the team’s effort to defend its Super Bowl title. His ability to gain gritty yards after the catch remains unchanged, and even as Andy Reid’s offense has appeared to falter early in the season, Kelce’s production has remained a constant.

Through nine games, Mahomes has passed for 2,442 yards on 334 attempts, tossing 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His 229 completions have resulted in a completion rate of 68.6%, which would be the best mark of his career if the season ended today.

Back from the Bye, Andy Reid Sees Two Keys to Chiefs Improving in Season’s Second Half | Chiefs Digest

https://chiefsdigest.com/back-from-the-bye-andy-reid-sees-two-keys-to-chiefs-improving-in-seasons-second-half/

The Chiefs aren’t the most penalized team in the league — the club ranks tied for 19th in the league for the fewest penalties assessed with 6.7 infractions per game. That doesn’t include the 16 penalties that have been declined. Last year the Chiefs committed the fifth-fewest penalties in the league with 4.9 per game. They’re picking up flags at a 37% higher rate this season than a year ago.

Browns just lost Watson for the season with a fractured shoulder.

What a waste of money and what a bust.

See? Now Watson is a bust in every sense of the word. This is the kind of clusterfuck we should reserve that word for.

Dude. I read the bust discussion yesterday. You have made up your own definition for the word bust.

Clyde is 100% a bust.

Also, Watson doesn’t even fit into your own definition of bust. Signing him to the deal they gave him was always a bad idea, so it’s more on the GM/team, than it is on him.

Yeah, no.
Clue didn’t draft himself. Watson sold himself. Both are bad management decisions, but Watson sold himself to the highest bidder. Clyde went where he was told. Slight difference.
You don’t like Clyde. Fine. You’re wrong, but fine.

I feel SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO badly for Watson and the Browns

ok, no I don’t and inside I’m jumping for joy and personally hope it’s the last football game the jerk ever plays (more so that it’s the last penny he gets from the Browns)

Mitch Trubinsky, come back home!

MU has a couple of WRs and an RB I wouldn’t mind seeing in camp.

Yeah, I imagine letting a coach openly cheat without penalties kinda helps with that regard.
