NFL draft steal: Chiefs rookie Creed Humphrey acing job of protecting Patrick Mahomes | yahoo

In the draft in April, the Chiefs used two picks on blockers — Humphrey in Round 2, followed by guard Trey Smith in Round 6. Their “carpet bombing” approach showed a near obsession with getting that position squared away. And it has paid off in spades.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce impacting Kansas City youth with new Ignition Lab | usatoday

Kelce founded the 87 & Running foundation to empower disadvantaged youth to achieve success by providing resources and support to their communities and cultivating their talent in education, business, athletics, STEM, and the arts. Chiefs see similarities to 2019 turnaround that led to title | miamiherald

That year began with then-new defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo trying to implement a wholesale change in scheme, resulting in a bunch that was bad the previous year under Bob Sutton and just may have been worse. Throw in a whole bunch of injuries, including one to Patrick Mahomes, and the result was a decidedly un-championship-like 6-4 start to the year. That was the same record the Chiefs had through the first 10 weeks this season.

I’m going to give that to my son one day’: Micah Parsons, Patrick Mahomes share admiration with jersey swap | fox2now

“I hit him, I said ‘Man, I need a jersey one day.’ He said ‘As long as I get one back’ and I said ‘You got it bro,’” Parsons said. “Imma give that to my son one day and it’s probably gonna be the most prized possession ever and he doesn’t even realize it yet. I just think those type of things are so cool. Everybody just appreciates the game.”

Happy Thanksgiving fellow AG’ers!! I hope all are enjoying this day however you do it! We found out Sunday the family member who was going to host it has COVID so the ‘ol lady stepped us up and it’s here today. Luckily we already had a large bird in the fridge thawing. She’s awesome! She’s battling health issues so this wasn’t just an easy step up. I try to be the OC trying to follow a playsheet and just be there for help. I feel so bad (wink wink) about beating the ‘boys so bad I hope they rebound today.
