Chiefs HC Andy Reid says Melvin Ingram will play in Week 9 vs. Packers | yahoo
Apparently, Ingram has been able to rely on his veteran wit to get caught up to speed on the lingo in Kansas City. Addressing the media on Friday, Reid confirmed that Ingram would suit up and play in the Week 9 game against the Packers.
“Yeah, he’ll be up,” Reid told reporters. “We’ll have a few plays for him. He’s looking good. He’s done a nice job.”

“There are lanes to be found,” He said of the developing strategy on the ground. “Our guys, I thought they did a heck of a job last week. How about Darrel (Williams) doing what he did, not only as a runner, but also as a receiver out of the backfield. Then, young DG (Derrick Gore) steps in and does a heck of a job, scores his first touchdown. Our O-line is doing a heck of a job in the run game, and our guys are doing a great job of finding the seams.

His method was rejected by the league, and therefore, he was considered an unvaccinated player — something the league and the Packers have both been fully aware of.

Beckham Jr. would typically be owed upwards of $8 million in 2021 upon his release, but as part of that agreement to part ways, the Browns agreed to a contract restructure. This allows the team to take Beckham Jr.’s base salary down to what amounts to a veteran minimum contract by converting the rest of his guaranteed salary into a signing bonus. Technically, Beckham Jr. is under contract through 2023, but those remaining two years are not guaranteed.
