Good morning AG!
Today in Chiefs’ history, Andre Rison was born in 1967 and it was Mike Webster’s birthday in 1952. If you remember Mike Webster is considered one of the greatest centers in league history. He spent his last 2 seasons with the Chiefs. He is notable not just for his accomplished gridiron career but for being the first NFL player to be diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which contributed to the personal downward spiral that preceded his death, in 2002 at only 50 years old
Grover Cleveland was born on this day in 1837.
Also on this day; In 2017 American singer-songwriter and guitarist Chuck Berry, who was a leading and influential performer in rhythm-and-blues and rock-and-roll music, died at age 90.
In 1990 In what was considered the world’s biggest art heist, two men pretending to be police officers stole 13 works, including paintings by Rembrandt and Johannes Vermeer, from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston; the stolen art was never recovered.
And in 1766, The British Parliament repealed the Stamp Act of 1765 after violent protests from American colonists, including a group known as the Sons of Liberty.
God Bless America!

Fans Applaud Chiefs Over Team-Friendly Signing: โVeach Is Cooking!โ | Heavy.com
Mike Edwards, 26, entered the NFL as a third-round pick of the Buccaneers in 2019. Since then he has played in 58 regular season games and recorded 141 tackles, 58 stops, 13 total QB pressures (10 QB hurries, 2 sacks, 1 QB hit), and 7 interceptions, according to PFF. In seven career playoff games, he has registered 28 tackles, 7 stops, and 2 interceptions.
I feel like Tranquil picked us to get the ring out of the way so he could go after nothing but money the rest of his career haha. There is zero chance we won on the contract terms right?
We paid little money for him – $3million per year
That’s a home run
I’m good with that. I wish him nothing but success. And I hope many others follow his plan
Seems to me the Chiefs have been targeting free agent players with 3 or 4 years experience in the league. Still very young but with veteran experience but at a good price. I think they know what they’re doing it seems
I think you are right
Had some really good pick ups. I’m very impressed to this point with what we’ve done.
In my opinion, BVeach is the bomb!
I hope the new kid is brushing up on his interview skills
Going to be big shoes to fill
He was always a good interview
A huddle of news within a huddle of news!
Your days are like those Russian doll sets.
A seemingly successful Huddle this morning. Always good to see. Try not to run off Ea. His opinion is as valid as any. If he wants to expound about it, let himl
If anything I said runs him off, there’s something else going on
I say the same thing to Gonz. Love that they are here, love that they comment. Don’t love that they take personal shots at players, and since my opinion is just a valid, I will tell them that.
Other than those posts, we got no issues that I am aware of
Logan Ryan endorses new Kansas City Chiefs S Mike Edwards
Not long after the news was announced, Edwards received an endorsement from two-time Super Bowl champion and 10-year NFL veteran safety Logan Ryan. Edwards and Ryan played together with the Buccaneers last season and it seems that the 26-year-old safety made an impression on the old head.
โPlaying with the lead in the 4th quarter I canโt imagine how many picks (Mike Edwards) bout to have,โ Ryan wrote on Twitter. โMike (is) one of the best ball hawks I (have) ever played with at any level sheesh. Donโt believe me just watch Chiefs.โ
Last post as I have to leave – I will be serious here. First of all, whenever we mention that Patrick Mahomes is the greatest, by implication we have judged all other players and their accomplishments. There is no great if there is not a failure. CEH is, at best, a mediocre running back. I can and will criticize his performance – in my irritatingly sarcastic way – as it impacts the outcome for the team I love. This is fair – if you had a child in my classroom, it would be your right to critique my performance. CEH is a disappointment as a starter – does not matter where he was drafted. He might suffice as a backup but, even if everyone was healthy for the entire year, he would be third string behind McKinnon and Pacheco. For the Chiefs, this is an experiment that failed. Now, if my sarcasm bothers you that much, I can always take my show on the road. Have a good one you all.
A valid criticism, but the horse is dead. Stop beating it.
hey, you at least have a sense of humor about it …. and as I noted blow: blame Mahomes for CEH being a 1st Round pick (or blame Reid for asking “who do you want?”)
Veach, Reid, Mahomes.
Three guys I think we can generally agree are the best we’ve ever had thought CEH was the right guy for that spot. Send your letters of complaint to One Arrowhead Drive.
now, now … I’ve never complained about the guy, just sayin’ who really drafted him is all
Comment not directed at you
we don’t want that!
We also don’t want to be threatened by him taking his ball and going home.
We are all open to comments. Lord knows, I’ve gotten mine.
If he wants to go, go. Just don’t stomp your feet on your way out.
I do hope you see the difference between this post and your other ones.
What you posted earlier was not sarcasm (you might want to look up the term). They were mean-spirited jokes (kind of) at someone’s expense.
Critiques are welcome. Praise of how Pacheco has preformed is valid. Tearing down the other backs to do it is not.
If you have some personal vendetta against him, keep it that way – personal. To yourself.
If my pointing out that your posts are not sarcastic but just nasty bothers you, sorry.
Mean spirited jokes are ok.
You know the old adage?

and that goes both ways, my friend ๐
I didn’t know we were friends?
oh right … we’re not!
Ups – were you saying you wanted to check out Thin Lizzy?
They’re a little less oriented in the blues than were some of their contemporaries, though their first two albums (“Thin Lizzy” and “Shades of a Blue Orphanage”) are rooted in folk music. After that, a lineup change brings in two lead guitarists (Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham) for the much-acclaimed “Vagabonds of the Western World,” the lukewarm “Night Life,” and then everything from “Fighting” to “Bad Reputation” is fantastic. “Black Rose: A Rock Legend” (the title cut of which was posted last night) is viewed as their commercial and artistic peak (sans Robertson, who was replaced by Gary Moore), then “Renegade” (released two years later) is a noticeable dropoff critically (and is probably my least favorite album of theirs) – by “Thunder and Lightning” it was all over.
As for live albums, “Live at the Tower 1977” (from Philadelphia’s Tower Theater) is phenomenal, showing them without the overdubs that plagued the officially-released “Live and Dangerous” – UK Tour 75 is great too as it shows a band on the cusp of greatness.
(It appears Live at the Tower 1977 is no longer available on YouTube in its entirety, though it’s part of the newly-revamped Super Mega Deluxe Edition of “Live and Dangerous” though that costs several pretty pennies.)
didn’t know that Gary Moore had been with TL … dude was amazingly talented
Signed on with them very briefly in 1974 I believe, though only bootlegged live recordings exist of him in that period, then rejoined ~end of 1978 (as seen in their video performance at Sydney, Australia, which I believe was just released as a live album) and lasted until 1979. Left the band mid-tour, right before the Japanese leg I believe.
Snowy White (touring member of Pink Floyd) was brought in for “Chinatown” (1980) and “Renegade” (81), and while he’s a good guitar player, his sound wasn’t quite what the band was looking for (and the drugs were rampant, “Got to Give It Up” is a testament to that) and he was soon sacked, replaced by John Sykes of Tygers of Pan Tang. By 1983 Thin Lizzy was done. Frontman/bassist Phil Lynott would die in 1985 I believe, or 1986.
In unrelated news, I went to a museum the other day with my daughter and we saw a magnificent marble sculpture of Julius Caesar’s head, shoulder, and chest. On the ride home, we had a disagreement as I stated that CEH was a much bigger bust.
told you: Beware the March of Ides
Phone call for you: Trezelle Jenkins is on line one. Says “Hello, remember me?”
Also, an email just came to your inbox: it’s someone named Todd Blackledge, and the subject is “LOL”
Ahhhh – members of the CEH club
Quick! Name the GM and coaches who drafted them. Those are your busts.
And the fans who, having done nada in the NFL, insist on labeling people failures for accomplishing way more than they ever did in athletics.
Looking at you, EA
CEH has accomplished a half a yard more per carry than I have in the NFL.
and the guy who drafted CEH was Mahomes …
just goes to show ya!
We should trade CEH to the YardHouse for half a dinner plate. I had to hire CEH twice to cut my lawn – each time, he only managed to do half a yard.
ISWYDT
Aren’t you late for your date with Gonz?
he’s a co-carrier?
CEH recently traveled to Downs, Kansas with his new stone removal business. He stopped at the first house but was unable to move the stone. The same thing happened at the second house. CEH tried two more houses but was unable to budge the stones there as well. Point of the story – CEH was unable to carry the rock successfully on four Downs.
If you have to explain the point, there is no point, much like your posts today.
Bagging on our players? That Championship not shiny enough anymore?
Exclamation
I wanted to make a post that had a point.
Keep trying. You’ll get there.

Maybe two meatballs.
