Jordan Poyer: Chiefs offense more patient than in regular season meeting | nbc

“I think they’re a little bit more patient with their offense,” Poyer said, via the team’s website. “I think, earlier on in the season for whatever reason, maybe some of the check-downs they weren’t hitting early on. But now they’re able to . . . Pat seems like he’s able to be a little more patient with the ball in his hands. He’s not forcing huge throws down the field. If it’s not there, he’s checking it down.”

Chiefs make several practice squad transactions on Wednesday | usatoday

After releasing four players from the practice squad on Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs continue to tinker with their practice squad. They have now made some new additions to their practice squad. They also released another player and restored a player from the practice squad COVID-19 list.

According to a representative for Gay via NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Gay was visiting his son’s house when the incident occurred. Gay and the mother got into an argument that led to him breaking her vacuum.

Per the representative, no one was harmed or otherwise touched outside of the broken vacuum. “No one was touched beyond the broken appliance.”

How Patrick Mahomes’ shortest answer revealed the most about the KC Chiefs quarterback | yahoo

https://sports.yahoo.com/patrick-mahomes-shortest-answer-revealed-110000124.html

I think I just really like winning,” Mahomes said Wednesday in response to a form of that question from Sports Radio 810’s Soren Petro. “That’s pretty much the end of it.”

Missouri Highway Patrol Accidentally Sends Out Alert About Batman and the Joker | yahoo

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/missouri-highway-patrol-accidentally-sends-022621171.html

Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol are saying “Holy smokes, Batman!” this week after an emergency alert was mistakenly sent out to mobile devices statewide.

The erroneous message, meant to be part of a test of the state’s blue alert system on Tuesday, read “Gotham City MO purple/green 1978 Dodge 3700 GT,” seemingly a direct reference to the type of vehicle used by the Joker’s gang in the 1989 Tim Burton film Batman.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/first-injury-report-chiefs-vs-212005885.html

Patrick Mahomes Makes His Opinion On Josh Allen Very Clear | thespun

https://thespun.com/nfl/afc-west/kansas-city-chiefs/patrick-mahomes-makes-opinion-on-josh-allen-very-clear

“Yeah he’s a tremendous player,” Mahomes said, via ProFootballTalk. “I actually know him a little bit off the field as well, great dude. They put a lot on his shoulders, and he rises to the occasion. He’s able to run the ball, he can throw the ball, he has the arm strength to throw it anywhere on the football field and he makes great decisions. Like you said we’ll probably play them a lot of times, it’ll be great competition and it’s definitely a great challenge for us as a team to compete with them.”

Chiefs OL Nick Allegretti reflects on wild-card round touchdown reception | usatoday

“Yeah, they did get the ball back for me,” Allegretti said. “So, Pat [Patrick Mahomes] signed it and I’ll probably put that up in the house somewhere, just closed on a house today. So, going to put that in the house. It’s a pretty cool piece of memorabilia for my career.”

Chiefs’ Byron Pringle Linked to 8-Win AFC Team as Next Landing Spot | heavy

Pringle, a third-year wideout that went undrafted out of Kansas State, has had a breakout season of sorts. He registered career-highs in catches (42), yards (568), and touchdowns (5) during the regular season. Pringle also has more catches (5), yards (37), and touchdowns (2) through one playoff game this season then he had in the last two postseasons combined, per Pro Sports Reference.

Mic’d-up Patrick Mahomes really wanted Travis Kelce to throw the touchdown pass to him instead | usatoday

Ay, after he pumped, there was a split second I thought he was gonna throw that to me. I was wide open! He’s supposed to reset. He pumped. It was a reset over to that wide, you know what I’m saying, I’m wide open. No one went with me. I am wide open, bro. … I’m wide open!”

After watching that tweet from nick Jacob’s I feel better about the game. A couple of terribly timed turnovers cost us that game. Kc wins 34 24

I decided to look at the14 playoff teams and find out what their records were against the other playoff teams. Below is a list of the teams and their win-loss records against, including the games played in the Wild Card round last week. I also listed their win-loss records against teams with winning records, so in addition to the playoff teams, their records against the Saints, Dolphins, Colts, Chargers.

Chiefs 7-3 against playoff teams (9-4 vs teams with winning records)
Bengals 5-2 against playoff teams (5-3 vs teams with winning records)
Titans 4-3 against playoff teams (8-3 vs teams with winning records)
Raiders 3-4 against playoff teams (6-5 vs teams with winning records)
Patriots 2-4 against playoff teams (3-8 vs teams with winning records)
Bills 2-4 against playoff teams (5-5 vs teams with winning records)
Steelers 1-6 against playoff teams (1-7 vs teams with winning records)

Packers 5-1 against playoff teams (5-2 vs teams with winning records)
Bucs 5-1 against playoff teams (7-3 vs teams with winning records)
Cardinals 5-3 against playoff teams (5-4 vs teams with winning records)
49ers 5-4 against playoff teams (5-5 vs teams with winning records)
Cowboys 3-4 against playoff teams (5-5 vs teams with winning records)
Rams 3-5 against playoff teams (4-5 vs teams with winning records)
Eagles 0-7 against playoff teams (1-8 vs teams with winning records)

It may not be particularly enlightening but of the 6 teams bounced from the playoffs all but the Cardinals had losing records against playoff teams. Of the teams remaining only the Rams and Bills have losing records against playoff teams.
