Injury Update: I’m getting surgery today. I was hoping to recover enough to get back for playoffs/Super Bowl but that didn’t happen. It’s time to address the issue. The recovery process isn’t too long, which is nice. Looking forward to a healthy 2021! #Chiefs #ChiefsKingdom

It's time for a Chiefs mailbag. The upcoming offseason moves should be fascinating. If you have questions about free agency & the draft, you can submit them here:
The Chiefs and @CityYearKC arranged a virtual tour of the @NLBMuseumKC for students at Central Middle School on Tuesday in celebration of Black History Month.
The tour was led by museum curator Ray Doswell, who brought the museum to life and answered questions via web call.
From Brooke Schwartz’s (OT Mitchell Schwartz’s wife) IG story:
- they’re in Dallas for the “spinal surgery”
- didn’t do surgery earlier hoping he’d be good for the playoffs...did treatment daily
- it’s a “quick recovery”
Mitch Schwartz is looking to come back in 2021, so of course I dropped everything and wrote about his 2019 playoff (and Super Bowl) impact, and how he creates a ripple effect on the offense.

And just for shits and giggles – when I was grabbing that link this one turned up in the list. This was the first new record that I ‘owned’. An elder cousin who was lumbered with looking after me for some reason wanted to go to the record shop (for the youngsters herein – that was a “shop” that sold “records” – yeah – go talk to a grandparent) and he asked me what was my favourite record, When I said this one he bought the single for me.

I guess Tyreek is displeased with the way he handled press this year…
now if hardman could take that initiative but he’ll probably just say next year is only year 3 of Reids complicated system that takes 5+ years to learn, no offseason, no preseason, yada yada yada. I want to like Hardman but he has to be more than an early game gadget player next year now that hes the #2
Now when did he say that? I have said that offseason and preseason matter, because they do, and that Reid’s scheme is one of the most complex in the league, because it is, and that rookie WRs need more than one season (plus an offseason, missing in this case) to pick it all up, because they do. Hill didn’t master his route trees in his first year in KC, and he still had a ways to go in his second season. “Just a gadget player” was often said about him, too.
Oh, Hardman, Hardman, Hardman. Why don’t you do anything to improve yourself as a player, since so many fans know you don’t lift a finger after the season’s over? Why do you keep saying the things you never said? Such a disappointment that you aren’t already a fully polished WR when it’s so easy to do? /s
SMFH Guess I’ll leave the anger at our players to those who want to be angry at them. After all, he will be back and he will be getting game reps, so might as well wait and see rather than getting madder and madder that things beyond my control aren’t being done the way I want them to. Angers my enemy, not my lover.

These are the top five moves @mspears96 wants to see happen this offseason.
1. Deshaun to Miami 2. Dak signs with Dallas 3. Carson Wentz to the Colts 4. Jameis Winston to start for the Saints 5. J.J. Watt to the Chiefs pic.twitter.com/9TpwgHx4vl

Chiefs Wire listed these five guys as FA the Chiefs should have big interest in.
Allen Robinson
Russell Okung
Romeo Okwara
Zach Banner
Olivier Vernon
Not sure I agree. Okung has never really been healthy. Vernon coming off an achilles, is he not? Robinson…not sold. Other two seem like contributors, I suppose.
Seems like there’s a couple people that dv anything when they spot certain names.
Maybe it’s just the one that gives every article 1 star.
Seems petty.
It is petty. At least when I get downvoted it’s because I hit a nerve. 😀

The Main Squeeze is amazing! Not sure if it’s in youtube still, but they did a full Dark Side of the Moon album cover and it was awesome.
My favorite cover by them

I would write things for AG if not for the following:
1) Time and other commitments.
2) No special insight into football (which would mean others would dismiss or mock my posts)
3) No connections in the news world
4) The only thing I might be able to contribute could be potential poetic pieces looking at the news of the week, upcoming games, that sort of thing. (I did one once here and it got decent reviews and appreciation…)
Upped for the alliteration, and it appears to me that you could do an OT once a week, perhaps. #1, well, they don’t take long, and #2 nobody really mocks anyone for the content that justifies them. Three doesn’t apply, and as for four, that would be a breath of fresh air for them, I think. The Week That Was sound like a good title to you?

How in the hell is Texas experiencing a power shortage??? They are experiencing weather that the rest of the country handles every year! Don’t they have the power infrastructure in place from the hot summer months?
I saw that the power grid I’m in ranges from the Dakotas all the way down to Oklahoma. They’re going to be randomly shutting power off in sections throughout today because yesterday the power company went through a record amount of natural gas.
Yes could someone please answer the damn question for me… our electricity was on yesterday for 45 fucking minutes.. it is now 38° inside my house… no heat , no food, no coffee….
We’re all sitting inside of our cars with the heaters running…. bullshit..
And then there’s supposed to be a big ice storm this evening.. I give up ..
Send help !!!!!!!!
We’re through the worst of it down here. Temps should move above freezing around lunch. All my neighbors across the street have been without power for about 30 hours. Been providing coffee and phone charging for anyone who needs. Took in a buddy till his place is up and running. I really hate the cold
Texas has its own power grid. They arent connected to the eastern half of the US or the Western half if the US. They are stand alone. Dont tell Ted Cruz but Texas is the state that gets the highest percentage of its power from wind roughly 15 percent which is frozen, but most of this is due to an increase in demand. Id assume most Texans have electric heat due to normally low demand. Increase in demand, loss of part of supply, and not connected to the the other 2 primary grids in the country. Get some blankets.
Because this normally a time of low demand there may also be work being done on major power plants. This would be a normal time of the year to schedule a shut down of a coal or nuke plant for several weeks for major repairs or upgrades.
NRC websites list 4 nuke units in Tejas. Both units at comanche peak site are at 100 percent power output. At the south texas site 1 unit at 100 percent but the other at 0. Thats roughly 4000 MW not online.
Just drove an hour around town, nothing open. Cars in ditches everywhere… looks like peanut butter and crackers for a couple of days..
At least will still have water, not sure what good that does us… not only is this an inconvenience but it is costing me thousands in work!!!

There are emergency makeshift heater options, may not be worth the effort.
Hell, heat up some brick or rocks on the grill then wrap in a towel as a foot warmer.
Also. Keep all of your insulated clothing (blankets, coats, etc) to the far side of your body from your heat source. They’ll insulate you from the heat just as well as the cold.
Didnt think about before, but I was reading an article and it makes a ton of sense. The gas plants and coal plants are not designed to operate in sub freezing temps. Major equipment at power plants in these areas typically are not enclosed. They might have some heat tracing on pipes but probably not enough and they are freezing up.
Plus the available supply of natural gas is limited. We’re (I’m about 60 miles north of you) being asked to reduce consumption because there’s not enough gas in reserve. Of course – that does rather bring into question just how bad a situation do you realistically plan (and pay) for.
Fortunately we’ve got a nice sunny day so the solar farms are picking up some of the slack this afternoon.
They flare natural gas to burn it up because they have so much, but are not allowed by the green nazi movement to build more natural gas plants and thus rely too much on bird killing, eye sore windmills which froze up with ice. Short version.
I hope at least this will open some eyes, my dad has been in the electrical contracting business for the last 48 years, so I get the inside scoop on a lot of this stuff, and a secure future should be built on nuclear, hydroelectric, and natural gas power generation.
What’s wrong with it? It’s not a personal attack. I thought you wanted the ability to talk politics all the time. Bottom line, don’t worry about what I do, worry about yourself.
If I banned everyone who called a general group of people “nazis”, a lot of people would be gone. I think it’s silly to say those types of things, but I’m not going to start banning people for that now. Funny how it’s just now that that should be a bannable offense. We’re good, pam.
It is indeed an excellent song
Completely with you

Supposedly he is going into the offseason with a “huge chip on his shoulder.”
KC needs a new return man.
Rashad Fenton looked nice when given the chance. Lack of cb depth will keep him from getting opportunities. Maybe Pringle?
Now when did he say that? I have said that offseason and preseason matter, because they do, and that Reid’s scheme is one of the most complex in the league, because it is, and that rookie WRs need more than one season (plus an offseason, missing in this case) to pick it all up, because they do. I’m not so high on JJ Watt to the Chiefs. He’s old and not the same player he once was.
Half of the player he was is twice what we were trotting out.
This is the gospel right here.
I was in Phoenix for Valentine’s this weekend. It was so cold there that I had to put on pants.
We were just informed that our monthly gas bill could surpass $700.
Good grief. Stay warm…or at least tepid.

A friend is in DFW, and they were doing 45min rolling blackouts to ease the strain on the system. Hers was 5.5 hours into the 45min last I heard.
Half of their wind turbines are frozen. Seriously. Also…I don’t know. Our bills are gonna be fucked though.
We’re through the worst of it down here. Temps should move above freezing around lunch. All my neighbors across the street have been without power for about 30 hours. Been providing coffee and phone charging for anyone who needs. Took in a buddy till his place is up and running. I really hate the cold
Thank you for doing this. Sets a very good example for others to follow.
My folks are in the Houston area and they’ve been without power for about the same.

Inside temperature 42, just received emergency text .. if you don’t have power now you probably won’t till late tomorrow….we’re screwed… Texas sucks…
Resist the urge to use the smoker as a space heater.
Ya, Was just trying to figure out how I can accomplish that…
All of the hotels are either without power or completely booked…I don’t know what to do with my truck has a full tank of gas
There are emergency makeshift heater options, may not be worth the effort.
Hell, heat up some brick or rocks on the grill then wrap in a towel as a foot warmer.
I’ve got the terra-cotta candle thing going kind of… just built a big fire outside to get some hot water..
This blows
Stay safe my brother, sounds like you guys are on your own. Looks like your state government is about as useless as mine.
If you have some candles, even tea lights, you can make a heater big enough to warm a room with a few bricks and a terracotta pot.
Also, an empty veggie can with a partial roll of TP soaked on isopropyl alcohol is basically canned heat, for cooking and warmth.
Also. Keep all of your insulated clothing (blankets, coats, etc) to the far side of your body from your heat source. They’ll insulate you from the heat just as well as the cold.

This green energy is working wonders for us right now, ain’t it?
I hope at least this will open some eyes, my dad has been in the electrical contracting business for the last 48 years, so I get the inside scoop on a lot of this stuff, and a secure future should be built on nuclear, hydroelectric, and natural gas power generation.
Problem is, that would require us to do our own development.
So I guess this comment must be ok with the mod because????
What’s wrong with it? It’s not a personal attack. I thought you wanted the ability to talk politics all the time. Bottom line, don’t worry about what I do, worry about yourself.
Calling a group of people that want to preserve the environment nazis is ok? I don’t need to talk politics anymore, January 6, 2021 says it all.
If I banned everyone who called a general group of people “nazis”, a lot of people would be gone. I think it’s silly to say those types of things, but I’m not going to start banning people for that now. Funny how it’s just now that that should be a bannable offense. We’re good, pam.
Nazi.
LOL
Says the guy that throws personal attacks out at literally everyone.
Its only a problem here because you disagree with him.
Hey buddy, how ys doin? 😁
Doing fine. Gotta help keep ya from acting out too much 😉
A group of unflinching, illogical zealots, that pursue their ends at any and all costs to their fellow man. Yes.
January 6, 2021
So it wasn’t the green nazi movement’s fault after all? Shocking. Must have been the other nazi movement’s fault.
