Good morning, AG!
Today in Chiefs history, Sean Smith signed in 2013.
In 1794, Eli Whitney received a patent for the cotton gin, Albert Einstein was born in 1879, Ferdinand, Graf von Zeppelin received a patent for a “navigable balloon” in 1899, and UN forces recaptured Seoul in 1951
Does he have the left stuff?
New Chiefs OL Jawaan Taylor could play left tackle in Kansas City | ChiefsWire
Taylor played 18 snaps at left tackle last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars per PFF, but he has thousands of snaps of NFL experience on the right side of the offensive line. He started a pair of games at left tackle during the 2017 college football season with the Florida Gators, but the majority of his experience again came on the right side of the line at tackle in college. Heโs never missed a game throughout his NFL career no matter where he has played.
Chiefs’ signing of Jawaan Taylor earns ‘B’ grade from Touchdown Wire | ChiefsWire
No matter how talented an offensive tackle may be (and Taylor is a very good player), moving from right to left or vice versa is a transition that takes time. Thatโs the only hesitation on this deal, and given the success Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and offensive line coach Andy Heck have had overall, weโll take the positive over here. Itโs just a bit of a wonderment in the short term, and thatโs a lot of money for a transitional move.
Chiefs RT Andrew Wylie set to join Eric Bieniemy with Commanders | ChiefsWire
According to NFL reporter Ari Meirov, Chiefs RT Andrew Wylie is set to sign a three-year deal worth up to $24 million with the Washington Commanders. Heโll be reunited with Eric Bieniemy who became the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator in Washington this season.

Chiefs tender Tommy Townsend as restricted free agent | PFT
Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Chiefs have tendered Townsend as a restricted free agent. They have tendered him at the lowest level, which means the team will have the right to match any offer Townsend gets from another team but will not get any compensation if he were to leave.
Free-agent receivers reportedly โblowing upโ Patrick Mahomesโ phone, want to join Chiefs | KC Star via Yahoo!
https://sports.yahoo.com/free-agent-receivers-reportedly-blowing-175343382.html

โIt doesnโt mean theyโre done looking. It doesnโt mean also that other wide receivers, Iโm told, are not blowing up Patrick Mahomesโ phone. Itโs my understanding guys have been calling him this entire offseason saying, โCan I come to Kansas City? Can I come and play with you guys?โ Like, that is a real thing that is happening.
Chiefs: Rookie and Sophomore Grades | ArrowheadOne
The General Manager of the Kansas City Chiefs, Brett Veach, appears to be getting better and better at his job. Especially when it comes to: 1) picking players in the draft, 2) signing low cost Free Agents and re-signing his own players, and 3) balancing the budget (cap). The main reason for this post is to dig deeper into the Chiefs needs. Can we really understand the list of team needs without first understanding their strengths and weaknesses? No? Well, there ya go.
Chiefs being linked to Theilen
And Tunsil
We will see what all the rumors mean, soon!
I’m done with that
44 days until the NFL draft!
1967: Chiefs draft Jim Lynch, who would become 1/3 of possibly the best LB group ever, Lynch, Lanier, Bell
whaddya mean “possibly”
The only Track and Field signature move I know of has died.

good stuff as always, Snafu …
McDaniel’s really really playing to type – willing to look under any rock (as long as it has a Patriots logo on it) to find talent. First Jimmy G and now Jakobi Meyers. He truly learned nothing from his (failed) time with the Broncos. Or maybe that’s unfair, after all Jimmy G is at least a better QB than Tebow.
Pioli was the same way. Picking up shitty Pats cast offs. Ryan Poles has been doing that in Chicago with our cast offs.
The biggest change when dorsey and reid came in was they went out and got the best players available not just the ones they already knew. I think it says a lot about trusting your scouting department.
I think you meant โsameโ. Few people would have called the Pioli way sane.
It could have been worse tho. Look at the swath of destruction Hurricane Bob left in Houston.
Out of curiosity, what KC castoffs has Poles picked up in Chicago? Not calling you a fibber, I honestly can’t think of any
Jimmy is only good for 6 games, though
My guess is that the Chiefs are deciding between keeping JuJu or signing OBJ
Odell that is
Dollars to donuts we keep JuJu. Better to go with something that’s proven (and who got consistently better as the year went on), rather than taking a shot on a flyer with known diva tendencies – particularly one who only wants to play in the playoffs.
this^^^ times a quintillion
Juju knows Mahomes, Reid and “the system” and he’s proven himself to be not just very capable, but also very much a “team player” AND he’s only 26 yo
Odell Fuck-him, Jr is the exact opposite: he’s a prima donna locker-room disaster who cares only about himself, he’s anything BUT a “team player” and would be (at best) a one-year ring-chaser who has only his own interests at heart, and he’s 30 or 31 yo (a good 5 yrs older than Juju)
Breaking Newsโฆ. Chiefs just signed OBJ
Shut yo mouf!
don’t you start with me, sonny!
A healthy Odell would be a big upgrade over a healthy Juju. “Healthy” is the biggest problem with Odell. His diva tendencies are a bit overblown honestly
we’ll have to agree to disagree …
I think part of his “health” issues stem from his diva-ness … either way, he seems to be a guy who’s out for himself instead of putting the team first (the opposite of what Juju seemed to do in 2022)
PLEASE JuJu
I’m not so excited about Juju as others around here. His bad knees bother me.
You know what they say about availability
right there with you. those knees might night hold up.
Between those two, I’ll take bad knees and desire over bad attitude and diva
this guy^^^ gets it
