Kansas City has spent the 2026 offseason trying to rebuild the margins around Patrick Mahomes. However, their final roster decisions may prove more painful than the biggest personnel moves. One of the most intriguing battles is for a place behind Mahomes and Justin Fields. Garrett Nussmeier has performed well enough throughout camp to make keeping three quarterbacks a genuinely tempting proposition.
