LeSean McCoy sounds off on rift with Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy | chiefswire
Appearing on Mad Dog Sports Radio’s “I Am Athlete Tonight” on SiriusXM radio, one-time Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy aired his grievances with OC Eric Bieniemy.
“Listen, because some players, he talks a certain way and some players will take it. I wouldn’t take it,” McCoy said. “Some of the questions I would ask, everybody is accountable. That’s why (he’s not getting hired). It’s not because he is a black coach. That’s not the reason — the reason is — I won’t get into that. There is a reason why, every year he goes to get a job, and then the time comes and nobody hires him because they know the type of coach he really is.”
10 Chiefs players to watch as OTAs begin | chiefswire
Organized team activities (OTAs) kicked off for the Kansas City Chiefs this week | usatoday
With great attendance during Phase 2 of the offseason program, fans can expect the majority of the Chiefs’ 90-man offseason roster to participate during OTAs at some point. With that in mind, here are 10 players that you should keep an eye on once the team hits the field:
WATCH: Chiefs tease return to action in OTAs with hype video | usatoday
While we won’t get any local media look-ins until Thursday’s practice, the Chiefs’ in-house media team shared a hype video on social media showing a bit of action, likely some B-roll footage from Phase 2 of the offseason program. You get to see looks at several players in the weight room, such as Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Mecole Hardman, Willie Gay Jr. and even Patrick Mahomes. You get to see players running gassers as they prepare for their conditioning test with Tershawn Wharton and Travis Kelce leading the way.
NFL, NFLPA ratify new reserve list, practice squad rules | chiefswire
The NFL and the NFLPA have agreed on some new rules for reserve lists and practice squads for the 2022 NFL season. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared the league’s memo on the changes, which expands and solidifies some of the rules seen in recent seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
WATCH: Justyn Ross makes crazy one-handed catch at Chiefs OTAs | chiefswire
The Justyn Ross hype train in Kansas City has a new conductor — Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.
There has been a lot of early hype building for undrafted free agent receiver Justyn Ross. The former Clemson standout is fully healthy and cleared for action in Kansas City. The team hasn’t been shy about stoking the flames either because Ross has been a standout early on after joining the team as an undrafted free agent.
On Wednesday, that trend continued. The Chiefs shared a video from OTA practice with Ross making an insane one-handed grab by the sidelines.
thanks rip
That dog with the treat: brilliant!
(I know that Memorial Day is technically Monday, but I’m not sure what AG readership will be that day since people will be barbecuing/out on the lake/river/doing whatever else. So I’m posting early.)
Don’t forget what this weekend is all about. Take a moment – especially on Monday, if possible – to remember the sacrifice of those who went before.
All gave some, some gave all.
good stuff, Nas, thank you …
and not trying to start an argument or even a discussion here, not is this an attempt to be “political” but it does seem to me) that it needs to be addressed in some way
Don’t forget all the children sacrificed to enjoy a sexually active lifestyle without the responsibilities.
You care more for the unborn than the born. Figures.
Given that you can’t have any born without the unborn, I’d say they go hand in hand.
When you figure out that an inanimate object can’t go running around killing people all by itself maybe you can join an intelligent conversation.
And you are more than welcome to explain why this harmless inanimate object that you appear to value more than life itself can kill so many more people in the US than in any other country. You can explain what the difference is between the US and other countries. Then we’d know what we need to do, because when other countries had these things happen, they quickly banned, restricted, and controlled the poor imamate objects and just like that – no more events. So strange that would work, huh?
Then maybe you can explain why you are so quick to shed tears for zygotes but so willing to downplay the killing of so many fully formed humans?
If I join an intelligent conversation, I will miss you.
Yep. Get rid of guns and no one will ever die again. Except for 100s of 1000s of innocent children whose blood you relish. Since it’s obvious that politics, along with raping and killing children, is still the desired and cherished topic for this site I will leave you to it and find another Chiefs site to enjoy. Maybe you can go find an active shooter with respect for any of these laws that clamor for at some point. In the mean time, go thank your parents for not letting some doc crush your skull before you had any chance at full life.
Man, you have to be fun at parties.
I want to thank you for not addressing one thing we were talking about. Well done.
And please remember…Memorial Day is for those who DIDN’T return. Not active, not veterans. We have days to honor them. Remembering those who died for this country is what Monday is all about.
TGIRF!!!!!
Beoches!!
Travis calls Bullshit on Kittle
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/05/27/travis-kelce-on-being-underpaid-money-is-secondary-im-here-for-the-legacy-and-the-team/
Kelce is the type of player you want. Playing because he loves the game/team, not because he’s just in it for the money.
And how many former athletes are bankrupt/in financial dire straits because they had too much money and got stupid with it?
Andy calls Bullshit on McCoy
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/05/27/andy-reid-defends-eric-bieniemy-after-lesean-mccoys-criticism/
McCoy is an… interesting guy. He plays like he does and then complains when the Chiefs hardly play him and let him walk after the season?
Davis has all sorts of problems. Two choices – fix them or divert attention. His troubles aren’t an easy fix, so that leaves option two. What better diversion than to stick yourself in the middle of the biggest controversy in the last 5 years? For the raiders, no real downside to this.
His dumpster fire is our gain.
Thoughts to ponder
Justyn Ross appears to be all that is advertised – can he take an NFL hit with his medical concerns?
Kinnard will supplant Wylie as the number one RT option before the first game.
The Chiefs must believe that Karlaftis will be an instant star due to their lack of signing any pass rusher.
The NFL hit to Justyn Ross is on my mind too. It’s one thing to look nice in shells. But getting tackled by a defense actually trying to stop you is where the rubber hits the road. I hope our Chiefs doctors were right and 28 medical staffs of the other teams were wrong.
He played in 10 games after the surgery, so it looks like he could hold up to ‘standard’ type football violence. The weird, extra violent collisions are probably still a question. I’m definitely rooting for the kid.
Same here. Hope his foot holds up too. Right now, I’m hoping for him but with his injury history we don’t want to see the return of regular season Sammy Watkins – a talented guy made of glass who ends up not playing as much as we’d like.
he has a fusion/graft of some vertebrae. One or two were fused. And I think one vertebrae was removed. Some think that this sort of fusion is stronger than natural.
Don’t mind if I do.
yes, please …
oh I do hate mornings
Dog, your discretion makes it
