Herring won’t be participating in on-field work this offseason because he suffered a torn ACL during the pre-draft process at the Senior Bowl. Had he not been injured in such close proximity to the draft, you’re looking at a player who had the chance to be a Day 3 draft pick on the back of a career season. Instead, the injury allowed the Chiefs to land the 6-3 and 280-pound edge rusher in undrafted free agency.
