“I mean, I’m gonna take shots,” Mahomes said, via the Kansas City Star. “The last few years I’ve take those shots, and they’ve worked. I’ve taken those shots, and they haven’t worked and we’ve still been able to find ways to score points. Whenever I’ve got a guy with a chance to make a play downfield, I’m going to give him a chance to make a play.”
Chiefs LT Orlando Brown Jr. adjusting well to a new system in Kansas City | usatoday
“It’s just been a lot of fun playing here man,” said Brown. “I really enjoy just getting better, playing within the system, especially as a tackle. There’s a ton of one-on-one blocks and blocking for Pat [Mahomes] specifically is great. What he’s able to do with the football by itself is awesome. It definitely gives you a little extra motivation as an offensive line playing for him.”
Despite Struggles Elsewhere, Chiefs’ Special Teams Unit Has Become Heroic | si.com
With respect to the Chiefs’ defensive effort, one could argue that Sunday’s game ball should go to punter Tommy Townsend for his efforts in pinning an already shaky Green Bay Packers offense deep in its own territory time after time. Following the win, head coach Andy Reid made mention of the Chiefs’ field position victory and their blocked field goal, as well as referring to the Week 9 contest as Townsend’s “finest game.” In total, here’s where the Packers opened each of their offensive drives following punts:
Chiefs DT Derrick Nnadi shares thoughts about Jarran Reed, improved run defense | yahoo

“I really feel like he’s a real team guy,” Nnadi said of his fellow lineman. “He sees how us as a D-line, how us as a defense can improve. I feel like with him, he’s a real student of the game, trying to find out what we can do to add more, improving our D-line as a defense. He just keeps learning and learning trying to help us be better.”
Chiefs Get Encouraging News On Clyde Edwards-Helaire | thespun

Bieniemy told reporters that Edwards-Helaire “looked great” at Wednesday’s practice. Now, this doesn’t mean he’ll play this Sunday against the Raiders. What it shows, however, is that Edwards-Helaire is on track to return to the Chiefs’ lineup very soon.

Pressure rising on Chiefs’ Mahomes to turn things around | kansas.com

“There’s a challenge that we didn’t start the season the way we wanted to. But I think these last few weeks, we’ve shown we can win different ways,” Mahomes said. “The defense is playing good, special teams is playing good, and we’re doing enough as an offense right now. That comes with the adversity we’ve kind of gone through these last few seasons. “We’ve learned how to win games even when it’s not pretty,” Mahomes continued. “Offensively we want to play better, but at the end of the day, I’d rather win and not play great offensively than like earlier in the season, when we played great on offense but lost. You want to play as a team and I think that’s the biggest thing.”
Win against Raiders would put Chiefs in familiar position through 10 games | ksn
A win would put the Chiefs at 6-4 and back in position to battle for the AFC West.
A 6-4 record is exactly where the Chiefs stood through week 10 in 2019. The year they went on to the Super Bowl.

Mackenzie Salmon connected with Tony Romo and got his perspective on what’s been going wrong for Patrick Mahomes in the first half of the season. Romo believes the former MVP will be just fine long term.
There are 2287 professional football teams entered on my spreadsheet for the simulation that I will be working on. GO CHIEFS!!!
I love that response.
Fuck the raiders
that’s it? that’s the most enlightening response you can come up with?
Hey guys. I’ve been kind of swamped this week, so I’ll try to get a poem up after the Raiders’ game.

Packers made their push but remained at a minimum offer for Odell Beckham. Chiefs brass, including Andy Reid, attempted to sell Beckham on Kansas City. But Los Angeles won out.
OBJ must not like barbecue.
PACKED & READY TO FLY OUT TO VEGAS!
CAN YOU DIG IT………..CAN YOU DIGGG ITTTTT – hahahaha
GO CHIEFS!
That Miami D was crazy last night. It was nice to see that Sammy couldn’t beat 1 on 1 coverage, had he still been a Chief I doubt his impact would currently be any more than what we are currently getting from our number 2’s. If the Ravens had a QB instead of an RB playing QB then Miami would have paid for what they were doing. I know not every team can do what Miami did last night but the perfect roll for Sorensen would be to blitz on every down.
Watch him closely on his blitzes, lately he just doesn’t have any juice. He’s not strong nor fast nor quick. Basically a liability everywhere on the field. Good thing I’m not the gm
That Miami defense was fun to watch. Just relentlessly bringing the house
Red Friday!!!
But when you come against THE CHIEFS,
I am comin’, and when I come, then pain is comin’ with me!!!
If you’re ready for a fight
Then you’re in the right place tonight!
OakVegas can expect no mercy!
uhhh…. Has he been playing in the same games we’ve been watching?
Hat’s off to Miami

It is always fun to watch a better team get spanked on national TV.
Unless….you know….
I have started my most ambitious project ever – more details later but this will run until at least Thanksgiving.
Looking forward to it.. bring it on.
Long story short – I am going to run a reasonably detailed simulation which involves every team in professional football history and will provide some data about coaches and players so I will be able to generate some interesting lists and ranks and such.
Sounds very interesting, also a little difficult.. thanks again for all you do on here fox
Something about your ex?
after all, you implied it was a big project.
Red Friday kingdom……..
In case you missed the top five
5 – Bill Belichik/Tom Brady New England Patriots
4 – Vince Lombardi/Bart Starr Green Bay Packers
3 – Paul Brown/Otto Graham Cleveland Browns
2 – Chuck Noll/Terry Bradshaw Pittsburgh Steelers
1 – Bill Walsh/Joe Montana San Fransisco Niners
Number 5 should be higher
Yeah, as much as I dislike TB, he and BB are arguably #1. 2 decades of dominance is hard to argue against. The only real one is all the scandals makes you wonder if there’s a nefarious reason for that dominance.
