Shortly after retiring following Super Bowl LVII, former Chiefs quarterback Chad Henne revealed an odd story during an interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Henne said Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has worn the same pair of red underwear for every game. As in, every single game. Mahomes joined ESPN’s “ManningCast” for the Broncos-Bills game and was asked about Henne’s story. He confirmed the story is true.
Why has Chiefs’ Kadarius Toney had limited snaps? What Andy Reid said Monday | KC Star
Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said there’s a reason receiver Kadarius Toney has had limited snaps lately: The team is trying to keep him healthy for the stretch run. Reid was asked about Toney during a weekly news conference Monday, saying the team needed to “keep coming with him” after the receiver had knee surgery on July 25 to repair cartilage in his knee. “We’re taking it easy with him up to this point,” Reid said, “just making sure he can make it through the year and in good health.”
Back from the Bye, Andy Reid Sees Two Keys to Chiefs Improving in Season’s Second Half | Chiefs Digest
Sitting atop the AFC with a 7-2 mark midway through the season is an ideal perch for Chiefs head coach Andy Reid but at the same time, it’s not a performance with which he’s completely satisfied.
“There’s plenty of things we can work on,” Reid said Monday as his team regrouped following the bye week in preparing to host the Philadelphia Eagles next Monday night. And, you know it’s all great what the record is and that, but the main thing that we focus – we don’t care about that — we care about improving on all three phases. And there’s room to do that.”

After fellow AFC contenders, including the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Baltimore Ravens, all dropped games over the weekend — Kansas City stands alone atop the conference at 7-2.
On ‘ManningCast,’ Patrick Mahomes predicts 3 straight plays on Broncos TD drive | Touchdown Wire
Patrick Mahomes knows how to call plays … and he doesn’t have to be in a huddle. The Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback was on the ‘ManningCast’ during Monday’s Denver Broncos-Buffalo Bills game. He called 3 plays and the Broncos followed his strategy en route to a touchdown. That would be a pair of runs and a play-action pass for a TD.
