Andy Reid: Patrick Mahomes’ ankle hasn’t slowed down his offseason workouts
Cardinals grant DeAndre Hopkins permission to talk with teams
Going to head out for the night. Plan on giving my “mistress” the CEH treatment – a half a yard right up the middle. Been fun hangin with you all tonight.
6 times in one night, color me impressed….
I would be surprised to see the Chiefs add an older receiver. Granted, our receivers are young and have some question marks, but I expect to see more RBs and TEs split out – reducing the need for receiver depth, and I would not be surprised to see us draft either a really fast WR or one of the TEs – the draft is one of the best in the quality of TEs.
already have Fortson, Gray and Bell (to go with kelce) but a draftee TE wouldn’t be a huge shock …
see if OT and DE or DT avail at top, then go pretty much BPA (WR, RB, TE, etc) … you can’t teach size (although you CAN marry it) and it all starts on the line
Would not surprise me to see us start the season with 5 TE and 5 WR – with some Tight Ends taking away some Wide Receiver snaps.
exactly
whatever works, works
we had what at WR in the Super Bowl?
Recievers whether WR. TE, or RB?
‘zactly
My Crystal Ball Sees a Hybrid TE/FB in the Mix … ; )
hey Fox, ask your ex can she play football … the Chiefs need a fullback (and she CAN block, at least block out vision for a wide area)
She is Danny Shelton expanded exponentially.
I am currently tracking over 650 Credit Recovery classes in a school with a population of 800+. I ONLY work with Juniors and Seniors so cut that population number in half – that does not count the current classes that they might be failing which will become a CR class sometime within the next month.
that’s a lot
AND I only deal with the classes that they need to graduate.
I often tell my Credit Recovery students that I need them to work like Patrick Mahomes rather than the Derek Carr effort they generally give. I once called a student CEH but was written up by my supervisor for deceased equine abuse.
and you deserved it
😆 🤣 😂
I am proud to say that my school district has the number 318, 319, 320, and 321 ranked schools in Kansas (out of 324). Our alternative school is ranked 317. The only three schools below us are alternative schools, one run by the Department of Corrections. To put it mildly and unavoidably offending someone, we are the CEH of Kansas schools.
Did your ex teach the dieting class there?
When she was in school, she was the only one who could work in a large group and by herself at the same time.
Bet she blocked the blackboard in third grade
She had to be homeschooled until they widened the door.
She was so happy when her family moved to a house with an attached garage. she could finally go outside to play.
Unfortunately, the outside was not big enough.
and you married her because you were always one of those “big picture” guys…
That is a great reply, good sir.
Everything’s bigger in Texas!
My penis was born in Texas.
but was thrown out because it was an under achiever?
OUCH – now that was a great comeback.
boom
She used to hang out around school a lot.
And I mean she hung out around the school.
…I gotta tell ya
oh no, y’all are the RoJo of schools …
Ha, at least CEH performed well at times
Our academy, which was the number one ranked school in Kansas for years, is currently sitting at number 28. That is where all of the “smart” kids are sent.
Lol 😆 ceh reference. 😆 🤣
The Dhop trade rumors are white hot right now. Now Brandon Aiyuk rumors are also starting to bubble.
I have been thinking about our current WR room and how it is constructed.
Toney is a special talent with #1 ability but can’t play 3 games in a row without getting hurt.
Skyy Moore has potential to be a really good slot and intermediate receiver.
MVS is a boundary only receiver making $10 million a year.
Adding a WR in a trade creates a crunch for opportunities and none of the 4 WRs play coverage teams.
My thought is to include MVS in a trade for Dhop. It makes the DHop salary easier to absorb with MVS off the books. And it creates a roster spot for another WR to come in that can play STs. We could sign Byron Pringle or Justin Watson as our #5 WR and gunner.
Our WR room could be
#1 DHop
#2 Toney
#3 Moore
#4 Justyn Ross
#5 Pringle
not a bad thought.
Oh. I first read that as D-Rop! I can’t help but see Nuke as the engineer on Ups’ train. That salary alone is an albatross of Pythonesque proportions
whatever he (Hopkins) wants it’s way too much (esp when you add on donating draft picks to the Cards) … the “opportunity cost” is just way too much
as for Sneed: right now he’s a hella good CB on an El Cheapo contract … keep him, use him, let him continue to mentor the kids in the Secondary, next season draft a CB while one of the current young ‘uns steps up as a starter
(that said, I’d rather 8M to a CB with a lot of years left than way more for an older WR with fewer yrs)
you’re nuts
Hopkins for what, 3 2nd rounders or whatever? Veach can get 3 solids starters for 4 yrs each on a minimal salary for what Hopkins would “cost” for … how long do we get the old guy who get injured? for how much???
pffffffffft … gimme BV and the draft picks every time
and might still bring back Justin Watson at WR … so there’s that
I would trade L’Jarius Sneed, MVS, and a 4th for DHop.
Our CB depth is great and I don’t see us extending Sneed for $8 million a year after this season.
And Hopkins has probably 3 more years of great productivity left and his current contract isn’t an albatross compared to what other #1 receivers are asking.
Trading for Hopkins insures us against Toney getting hurt and he can help Ross and Moore develop professional habits.
It allows us to focus our 1st 3 picks on DE, DT and OT as well.
I would trade L’Jarius Sneed, MVS, and a 4th for DHop
I’ll just refer you the first line in my previous statement 🙂 loveya but WRs can be had all over on the cheap in the draft, like RBs (see: Pacheco, Isaiah) and Mahomes can help Ross (and Moore) be professionals (he’s good at that, I hear)
FWIW: no I would NOT trade Sneed … I meant to “highlight” (bold) SC’s comment (in reply to)
Crazy talk
Lost me at Sneed
Fun but simplistic solution – Pay the parents for their kids good grades and fine them for their kids bad grades.
*imma assume sarcasm*
Best solution I have ever heard
Extend the school days to include extra arts, shop, physical education, and living learnings.
Help kids find something they are good at and stop trying to force all kids to succeed in areas they struggle. Not every person is good in math. But they may great at rebuilding small engines.
Make them find a sense of worth at something and show them they have a future.
KCK has has a program teaching women how to build EV vehicles
ALL of the kids love it
Damn near twenty years since we have had shop classes in school.
Yep. All kids must go to college and get saddled with a lifetime of debt replaced learning a trade and working your way through college if you want.
Agree
learning trades for some and College prep for others
now see, I was so against that “all kids go to college” thing 15-20 yrs ago … we (teachers) knew back then and even well before that not every kid was “college material” (just like not every kid was a great football player or artist, or mechanic for that matter)
Need to teach kids FINANCIAL planning & daily budgets in school.
That’s where that math thing comes into play…
Math is basic & good
Next step…
Financial planning…to know how to read & understand numbers
Basic budget
Not keep up with neighbors & friends
Needs vs Wants
and “opportunity costs”
like, oh … I dunno … trading away draft picks for some old WR or something like that (angelic smile)
AND the lesson is learned. You have applied that skill.
What? No shop class in school?
Duh , there’s the problem….
My room is in the converted shop area – my wall covers the garage door they used to have for Auto Mechanics.
wonder if they had to stop those classes due to liability issues.
Nope – electives everywhere were eliminated – doubled up on the Math and English classes. I moved back to High School when the History classes at the Middle School level became more like Reading classes.
I have mad respect for you to be a teacher!!
After 17 years of teaching my better 1/2 resigned last year.
She has a bachelor degree, 2 masters degrees & a PhD. Her new career from DAY 1 paid her more than 17 years as teacher….with TONS of $$ upside.
School @ all levels is a daycare
Tell him congrats…and good luck
Him 😆 🤣 😂 😹
I have surpassed 40 years as a teacher….
HOLY 40 YEARS
TIP OF MY HAT TO YOU!!
Well, for many of those years, had I retired or quit, I would have had to stay at home with that obesively large woman so I guess I took the path of lesser evil.
*survived?
you’re A-OK in my book, Fox … anyone who says otherwise can KISS my ass (SWIDT)
as an erstwhile edumacator of 20 yrs: I salute your tenacity and dedication
I posted this weekend. OUTSTANDING movie! John Wick.
3 and a half hours?
Watched it yesterday, best fucking movie ever made… not to long I could have watched two hours more. Best Wick film to date by far… excellent film ..
I’m actually going back this week to see it twice… and it’s going to be awesome
well I liked those movies
I shall try to watch it
maybe at the Casino 🙂
Hell yes…. I was overly impressed..
Didn’t they all start because someone shot his dog?
*see above
maybe you should pay closer attention the first time!
well I did not remember all the pieces of Heavy Metal the 1st time
Under 3 for the movie
BUT…all the commercials 3 1/2 hours
Sure we have a few dungeon & dragon fans. It’s a good movie 🎬 🎞 🎥. I don’t know anything about this dungeon & dragon world or books.
Good movie…if you liked lord of rings. You’ll like this.
I watched the entire first season of “The Legend of Vox Machina” before I found out it is based on D&D
Who’s Jordan Love?
was he the captain on the love boat?
that was Nemo
Jules Verne reference or the fish?
just keep swimming …
just clowning
so deep and dark and mysterious … the anglerfish is such an amazing proof of evolution
I think he drove the yellow submarine for the beetles.
XFL’s average attendance in the first half of the season hovered around 14,000. Some games averaged 30,000 fans in stands.
That’s what? twice the television audience?
I thought those numbers are way high. Attended a few xfl games this year…
.looked like a trailer park rally in the stands…..only thing missing was confederate flag & dirty wife beater t-shirts in stands
That’s better than the Chargers did in San Diego
😆
Again…
SHIT PARENTS = SHIT KIDS!!! Hourly more details are being released.
absolutely fucking disgusting!! Three, 9 year old kids gone. Three adults gone.
All from SHIT PARENTS 💯
I had/have a solution but SNOW FLAKES won’t like it to fix this FUCKING BULL SHIT!!
RIP.
So sad.
Agreed. Senseless and tragic.
RIP.
tragic
Oh, do tell please. What’s your solution?
Oh no you didn’t, are you sure you know how this thing works?
Slow day. Could use a chuckle
Have fun 😉
You rang?
Better to offer up solutions then same old shit that doesn’t work. As usa 🇺🇸 crumbles.
Teach kids that they ARE responsible for their actions and its not the fault of whatever batch of letters the doctors say they have?
good idea!
problem is, most of “the kids” have parents that are basically the same way … fruit don’t fall far from the tree, yanno
letter or no letter: now what?
hold parents responsible as well as the kids (IMO)
Teach kids that whatever batch of letters the Drs say they have are valid, that asking for help is ok, but they are STILL responsible for their actions?
yes, and the parents, tyvm
I have parents that will say, well, he has XYZ so its not his fault. I tell them if they do something in my dojo, it will be their kids fault and they’ll be responsible for what they do. they usually just look at me like I’ve lost my mind.
I think some (not all) parents look for DXs to verify that it’s NOT their fault that their kid is a terror.
90% TAX on all cigarettes, beer, soda, weed, wine
Til every school has the same TSA airport security system in it…as every FUCKING AIRPORT.
Use same tax $$ to actually PAY THE TEACHERS…usa gets dumber & weaker with every generation
shouldn’t that tax include guns/ammo/accessories?
*as long a vodka is not included
huge federal tax on all guns and ammo is a very good idea
It’s already taxed..
so are cigs, like 75% of the cost is tax
with rebel yell?
thanks, Billy …
CA (?) floated a 1000% tax, no idea how far it got.
If its a federal tax it would never find its way to the schools.
Sure. Goal is REAL education, pay for teachers, safety of next generation.
This school shooting shit is OUT OF CONTROL & will get worse.
The real root issue is SHIT PARENTS = SHIT KIDS.
i don’t necessarily disagree, but at the moment laws are being pushed to handcuff what educators can do… “it’s up to the parents” and several federal lawmakers (not the “snowflakes”) are advocating eliminating all federal funds for public education.
Your proposal would never fly w/o full Dem control of leg/exec branch as tings stand.
They barely teach math, reading, and writing anymore, which is pretty much what most good careers consist of. Then when kids are tested and found to be unable to do any of these, they change the grading of the test. I also thing all the testing (at least in our state) screws things up. rather than teach the subjects, they are just trying to teach them to pass the tests.
Hmmmm – tomorrow is our ACT day – do not get me started on all this testing.
my wife and daughters are all teachers. I hear about it all the time. its crazy.
I know several teachers who do nothing but teach to the test. We are in the midst of two months of virtually nothing but testing.
That and all they do is write reports and do paperwork. they leave the teaching to aides who have no degree.
many states allow charter schools to hire teachers w/o a teaching degree
yes, but the main gripe from the teachers is that they went into teaching because they wanted to teach. instead they are paper pushers.
I agree
aides are there to grade papers and learn how to do paperwork … hell, a coupla super-sharp kids in each class can grade papers (although “technically” they aren’t supposed to as it “violates privacy concerns” but still)
I refused to do that … I taught the curriculum (which INCLUDED what was on the tests)
This is all true. Question is…why? Folks scream for teaching standards and accountability, but this is what you get. Admins worry more about meeting “goals” than actual education. Now they have to worry that Tommy’s dad is going to complain because they show a movie about Selma? Good luck.
or a picture of the David
Pervert
he is a handsome specimen…
That was a bunch of BS
well, if the parents discipline their kids, the government takes them away. if a teacher does, they get fired. Then I have parents bringing kids to the dojo to learn discipline. so basically they try to hire out parenting to an outside contractor.
need a license to get married but not to have kids
No. If parents discipline using abuse, kids get pulled. As they should. Discipline isn’t physical or emotional abuse. It’s setting limits and sticking to them.
not around here. kids will turn their parents in if they get grounded and an investigation ensues. kids make stuff up, same thing. Its obvious who’s in control now, and the kids know it.
Every country has s… parents. The real root issue is us. The citizens of this country. We’re not weak and stupid, we’re cowards.
Look in the mirror and admit to yourself we have allowed fanatics of each extreme to hijack the democratic process.
I admit it, I’ve allowed it. I vote, but the damage has been done before the general election.
goes back much further. My parents were involved in local politics in 50’s early 60s.
My mom was so pissed when she found out the party convention votes were only for show, the decisions had been made well before.
Gotta be in that “smoke filled room” to have a voice.
our culture encourages this behavior. many others don’t.
The downside of individualism
I think the fact that they publicize the crap out of them makes it worse – now kids think they are going to be famous for doing that crap. it just plants the seeds in more minds.
It’s people gone over the edge. There is no defense against the crazy people they become. It’s sickening.
Yeah really, I wondered how the hell she got two assult rifles and another gun in with no problem
Thru a side door
That would fucking suck. No thanks
they’re supposed to be schools, not prisons … you end up with lockdowns and locked-ins and that’s not conducive to a good learning environment … schools are SUPPOSED to be open, fun and free places of learning and mini-societies where kids learn how to be “sociable” (society … see? it all kinda fits together)
TSA systems aren’t fool proof, but I’m ok with the taxes. Pay the teachers.
Full disclosure: I use none of what you want to tax.
