welp, there goes the neighborhood!

yah, he MIGHT be ready in time to be a back-up for the regular season … my money’s on LDT at RG

LT – Brown
LG – Thuney
C – Humphrey
RG – LDT
RT – Remmers

… or not

If I had to put money down on which Olinemen start the season, then right now I’d bet on your list right there. But I’m hoping that Smith and Niang can take those starting spots later this season or early next.

That’s my dream line.

And honestly, I wanna see our next three be Durant/Alegretti/Rankin. With Remmers as super-sub. I think the kids can play.

Thanks, Brsrkr. (Old spelling habits die hard).

I peruse articles. Sometimes I even stop to think.

Real world: My life (second kid, exploding practice, different home) is WAY different than 2017, much less 2013 or even when y’all met me (’06). So the homefires take a lot of my energy.

No one sleep on Callaway, Tim Ford….or Omari Cobb. Kid’s fast, AND long — one more year (1/2 yr?) on the p/s and he’s ready to rotate in at LB.

SAL!

Ho Li Kow, good to seeya alive n typin’, Brother

as for who plays where, I do not care … all I care is no sacks, plenty of time for Mahomes (and the WRs) and HUUUUUUGE holes for the RBs

Oh yes, I’m here. A 3 y/o, 8 (almost 9!) m/o, a thriving business…they all take more time up than planned 🙂 Good seeing you Pam.

I’m always around, just…with less time to comment, really.

Hasn’t he struggled with injuries the last couple of years before he “retired”? Not a good sign.

I predicted he wouldn’t make the roster

The best thing for the team would be if Trey Smith and Lucas Niang both win starting spots. And Humphrey of course.

If Smith can take LDT’s spot, then that means we’ve found a guy who’s better than LDT. (Also cheaper).

And if LDT plays like a beast, it’s money well spent before he goes out into free agency next year. There’s really no losing.

That said, I really would like to see Smith win the right guard job & Niang dominate at RT.

From OTA “reports” (i.e. tweets), seems like Humphrey might’ve already won. People have said he’s taking starting reps. Although it occurred to me that maybe they’re giving him extra reps just to train him to snap with his right hand.

Mahomes mentioned he’s already used to a lefty snap. It will be interesting to see how that shakes out.

Personally I think they should let the center decide what works best for him, and the QB just has to adapt. That’s why the QB gets the big bucks.

yeah, well … I remember years ago when there was “theoretically” open competition at QB … and yet Matt Cassell was the starter anyway
