How did I end up in this alternate universe. One where we an actual multi-purpose running back, a quarterback that trusts him and a coach that calls plays to use him. Damn – haven’t seen this in, what, 12 years?
Win is a win. Not a good team but still a road game in hot Miami isn’t any easy task.
Defense is looking like a problem. The 3rd down defense was horrendous today. Chris Jones is having very minimal impact. He had the pass defense at the end but he didnt enter the stat sheet until very late in the game. A lot of money tied up in him for him not to be impactful.
Butker isn’t going to be on the team next year. Too much money for him to be so erratic.
Hats off to the Miami Dolphins, who lost some pieces and still put together a game plan that made the Chiefs look like they need to get it together in all phases and had some late answers for Walker and Mahomes…
Everyone was getting pretty frustrated with the line play on both sides of the ball. But the Chiefs are 3-0.
Winner, pass offense. With the exception of Rice, every target got a reception. Rice went 7 of 9 and coughed the INT, but the throw was funky, too. Mahomes went 20-24, so at least two passes were deliberate nulls
Loser Toub and Butker. Yeah, it was relatively meaningless FG at the time, but you’re paid to stay focused through the whole game. Toub gets an L because he’ll be blamed for that, even though he wasn’t involved in the miss. There’s a limit to what he can do on those. But he does get an L because kickoff guys were tentative on their return blocks. Keep workin’em, Dave, that needs improvement.

I agree..Not sold on Butker… Who knows how good his replacement would be. tough call. But he’s not as reliable as he was.
Chief WIN!!! 3-0 baby!!!!!!
Closer game than the score showed. But with the Dolphins’ RB room being depleted, that helped some.
Wonder how many RB FAs the Fish are going to sign now.
gonna be really curious what the injury report looks like, i hope that cheap hit didnt mess mahomes back up
Don’t know if you saw, but I’ve altered my take on the ST unit, publicly, and gave you a nod. Still don’t fully agree, Schwartz had a different take.
