“With Eyes on Fire and Wills of Steel”

The challenges keep rising.
The stakes so high, increasin’.
And once more, a reprising
Of an earlier game this season.
Now only four more teams remain
The rest have fallen, all the same.
They couldn’t win, the reason.

The stage is set.  Let’s bring it.
The Bengals, who had beat us
Are coming here to zing it.
They’re wanting to defeat us.
With eyes on fire and wills of steel
The Chiefs will make the Bengals feel
The loss, this game our sweetest.

And what of Burrow and Ja’Marr?
Oh, what of empty backfield sets?
Are Spags and defense up to par?
Can Chiefs’ offense turn up the jets?

With fierce determination
Mahomes and all his brothers
Will fight and claw, each station,
For we won’t lose another.
The hype trains must be set aside
Chiefs’ dare not rest on only pride
If Bengals will be smothered.

Lamar Hunt’s silver trophy
The prize both teams are seeking
The winner then can boast, see.
The loser goes home shrieking.
The chance to play the Super Bowl
The victor’s prize, the only goal.
If Chiefs win, we’ll be freaking.

Mahomes and men can do it yet
The Bengals fall to our attack
Chiefs are the AFC’s best bet
We’re almost there, to take it back.
