All of this discussion about the validity of “military” style guns and no one is questioning a Lamborghini SUV? I honestly do not even know how to start with this one. Talk about hillbilly red neck wastes of money whatever he paid for that thing it was unnessisary. To me this is just irresponsible I don’t care how wealthy I may possibly become, there is no way ever zero percent chance that I would ever purchase such a thing. How stupid can a guy be not to know the local gun laws? I know they vary widely from state to state and region to region but after getting busted once he doesn’t stop to spend the time to read up on them. However, I guess we should give him a pass after all we are only talking about his Lambo SUV gun anyway he had probably forgotten he had it on him.

Was it full auto or semi-auto? If it was a semi-automatic it would be fine in most states. California is, of course, an exception.

ok, I know some will say I’m “jumping to conclusions” but I think Clark is an idiot (no, I mean IDIOT) for having a gun in his car at all … an auto or semi-auto is even MOAR idiotic (look, the guy’s 6’5″ and 300lbs (whatever) … he needs a gun like a submarine needs a screen door

GOD DAMN FUCKING GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, if I had my way I’d melt down every last fucking one of them … locally, nationally, worldwide

and Frank Clark, to you I ask the following …

I’m not a proponent of getting rid of all guns, but to your point, all those things were hunted prior to the invention of firearms.

in all fairness, I have no issues with basic rifle or shotgun, I get the whole “hunting” thing, I really do … but the “military style” weapons have ZERO place in a “civilized society”

you want a military weapon? join the military …

consider this: “An AR-15 style rifle has been the weapon of choice for the most violent mass killings in modern history, including in a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado; the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh; the Route 91 Harvest musical festival in Las Vegas; a massacre at a church in Texas; the Pulse nightclub in Orlando; a high school in Parkland, Florida; and the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.”

(from CNN article noting that the California Assault Weapons Ban is still in force after an appeals court overturned a lower courts ruling that the ban was illegal)

a few months ago I was living in Boulder, CO when a mass shooting occurred not far from me at a local grocery … I didn’t know any of the several victims, but I know a few people who DID lose friends and loved ones … and I knew a couple of those who lost their lives in the Aurora, CO shooting (I lived in Aurora at the time)

The people who committed those violent and despicable acts are solely responsible for them. The AR-15 is a semi automatic firearm. It is a very effective rifle for self defense and combat, but certainly no more deadly than any other. The AR is used in an extremely small percentage of shootings in our country, not that it should matter. PEOPLE are responsible for misusing weapons. When some thug decides to rob you, kill you, or rape your wife or daughter a firearm is your best defense, and an AR-15 is a good choice. Throughout history, it is the unarmed populace that is abused by the powerful. These facts will never change.

oh, well … in THAT case, every single person should have an AR-15 to defend themselves from ANY POSSIBLE PERCEIVED THREAT … you know, like I see some driver on the road who’s speeding and changing lanes w/o a signal: that’s all reckless and it’s a DIRECT THREAT TO ME (as well as other drivers!) and, by your own logic, that driver should be SHOT TO DEATH so that no harm befalls myself or my family or loved ones

for that matter, if someone is rude at the grocery store they COULD BE A THREAT and should be SHOT ON SIGHT to make sure that nobody is hurt by the rude, disruptive person who COULD rape or rob anyone around at any given moment

that’s your logic … so sure, it’d be a bloodbath at first, but no doubt those who survived the initial mayhem would be EVER so polite in the future (no more rude drivers cutting Granny off on the road, no more disrespectful teenagers jumping the line at the movie theater … for that matter, no more Jehovah’s Witnesses banging on the door, because you never know who they REALLY are and they COULD be violent people just dressed like Jehovah’s Witnesses

oh, and that package delivery driver from Amazon or UPS? BANG MOTHERFUCKER!!! (I mean, sure, the guy COULD be legit, but what if he’s really there to ROB or RAPE someone?!?)

===================================

please, dude … stop giving a pass to the fucking gun industry, they don’t need your help

After Sandy Hook politicians (on both sides) were revealed for the cowards they are. There will not be any change to current laws unless it’s making assault weapons more accessible. There’s a storm on the horizon. You have a political party in this Country claiming that the former POTUS didn’t lose, but the election was stolen. These people are armed to the teeth and pissed off (over a fricking lie!!!), it could get ugly real quick around these here parts. I always knew if trump was voted out (and he was!!!!) he wouldn’t concede, but in my worst nightmare I didn’t see what’s happening happen. The reason I went in this direction is because it all ties together. I was a republican for most of my adult life. Never would I have thought that the tyranny the founding fathers prepared us to defend against would manifest itself from the right. I was wrong.

*a much higher % of mass shootings*

“Logic, n. The art of thinking and reasoning in strict accordance with the limitations and incapacities of the human misunderstanding. The basic of logic is the syllogism, consisting of a major and a minor premise and a conclusion – thus:

Major Premise: Sixty men can do a piece of work sixty times as quickly as one man.
Minor Premise: One man can dig a post-hole in sixty seconds; Therefore-
Conclusion: Sixty men can dig a post-hole in one second.

This may be called syllogism arithmetical, in which, by combining logic and mathematics, we obtain a double certainty and are twice blessed.”

“no more deadly than any other”?
An autoloading 30 round mag fed battle rifle is comparable to a 5-6 round bolt/pump action?

I don’t agree either with melting all guns, but our ancestors survived for a very long time without guns. Bow and arrows, atlatls, spears, rocks. etc. Now THAT is real hunting. Sitting in a factory-made, waterproof, factory-printed camo suit and sniping an animal 200 yards away just doesn’t scream “sport” to me.

Not enough info available for me to have an opinion, the first being whether it’s semi-auto only or full-auto capable. However, the main thing right now is that he’s been charged with possession, not for having used it in a crime. There are people who legally own full-auto Uzis, not to mention other such rifles, and occasionally take them out to a range for some fun. They aren’t criminals or terrible people, they just paid the money and jumped through the required hoops.

In my view, a DUI arrest is more objectively meaningful, since that actually involves dangerous activity.

I feel like the Chiefs need to bring me in for a day to “talk” to all the players about how fucking stupid they are.

It might end up being the most expensive uzi of all time. What a dipshit.

I think I’ll wait for this one to unfold and more details to come out before jumping to conclusions and assuming he’ll be suspended or cut. I would not be surprised to hear either that he had an Uzi and it was a legal search, or that he doesn’t have an Uzi, just some gun, and that it wasn’t a legal search, or even some combination. Regardless I can’t imagine that Veach and Reid are in a good mood right now.

Regardless of type of gun
No permit = felony in California

Roger (nfl brass) can suspend anyone without a legal charge. Would think Bill Cosby (aka d. watson) issue is more important to nfl.

Who knows

55…come on!!
Have one of your boyz, follow you around in a car & carry. Not you. If you really need that type of protection.

But why…do you need that type protection is another story.

The way the NFL moves 55 suspension will be in 2022 season

BUT if chiefs sign Melvin Ingram or Justin Houston before TrainingCamp….we’ll know 55 suspension will be in 2021.

In general, yes. However, if it was registered prior to 1986, you can buy it via a NFA transfer through a class 3 dealer. You pay the $200 transfer tax and the application. If the local law enforcement agency and the BATFE approve, you can then purchase it.
That said, it takes 6+ months to get the approvals. You can be onspected at any time to ensure it is being properly stored. Your local LEA may need to be notified before you shoot it. The range may have to be certified. They are more a collector piece than a shooter.
And they are expensive. A quick search found a number of NFA eligible Uzi’s. They started at $13,000 and went up from there.
