It’s time to pick the game!
Anthony: 41-35, Texans
I am sick with myself, but the Texans are coming in hot and the Chiefs are licking their wounds. I will gladly be wrong here, but barring key players getting healthy and some other’s stepping up, I have a hard time predicting this to be a pretty game for the Chiefs.
Reverend Dave: 38-35 Texans
If you read the Red Friday Preview, you’re probably shaking your head like “wtf?” at this prediction. Well, if I’m being perfectly honest, our injuries scare me. If we were even 50% healthier I would give this one to the Chiefs easily, and I don’t think there is a team in the League that could beat us if we were 100% healthy. However, that’s not the case. Close game, no cigar.
Nate: 38-35 Chiefs
This score is entirely dependent on Tyreek Hill playing. If he doesn’t play, Texans win. But after last week’s performance, I think the Chiefs are going to get Hill out there to help. Even with Hill back, this matchup terrifies me. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Chiefs lose, given their injuries. Patrick Mahomes is just good enough to win though, as he leads the game-winning touchdown drive to push us to 5-1.
Dan: 31-24 Chiefs
The Chiefs have to get the offensive issues straightened out this week. Assuming Hill does not play, even though there is a good chance he does, the offensive line is getting worse but could see new addition Stefen Wis provide some help up front. I think we will see the Chiefs look to sustain more drives this week to help keep the defense fresh and try to help out the line and young receivers in the quick passing game. Which will allow Mahomes to stay cleaner and they will play with a lead. Frank Clark is going to have at least 2 sacks.
Adam: 27-24 Chiefs
After witnessing the Colts debacle live last weekend I can’t wholeheartedly say Chiefs will win this game. However, I do believe they will find a way to win if Andy does a better job of using what he has to work with. Injuries happen, but being flat out out-coached was terribly embarrassing for him, the 53, and the entire kingdom. This is a get right game for the Chiefs.
BRaG: 35-28 Chiefs
I’ll admit that my prediction’s optimistic, and maybe overly so, but the reasons for it are a competent LG being likely to play and the D being at least able to play as well as they have vs. Indy and Detroit. A loss wouldn’t shock me, but I’m going with the Good Guys.
Mitko: 30-23 Chiefs
The Texans Oline is literal garbage cans, Watson holds onto the ball to much, and their starting running back is Carlos Hyde. Yet everyone is freaking out because they put 53 points on the worst defense in the NFL. This game is only closer due to injuries and last minute points.
Andre: 33 – 20 Chiefs
This game depends on how well we recover from injuries. The Chiefs at full strength are a better team that the Texans at full strength.
I also suspect that the team is mad about how the last game went and wants to right the ship. The Texans have a good offense but their defense is worse than the Colts or Lions. Depending on injuries, the defense might have to win this one.
CBO: 43-40 Chiefs
This is the game that will really test the Kansas City Chiefs. Are they a great team that can overcome a loss where not much was working? Or are they a team that can come together and make things happen when they’re down some talent and a bit hobbled even in the guys that are starting. Mahomes isn’t getting enough time in the pocket and the Chiefs creativity on offense isn’t overcoming the constant pressure consistently. I’ll predict that the Chiefs will get it together and make some big plays against the Texans in a shootout. Chiefs style. With Kansas City getting the win in nail-biting fashion, winning 43-40 in the final minutes with a field goal from Harrison Butker.
Marc: Chiefs 35 Texans 24
I expect the Chiefs to come out a house of fire. Reid will scheme protections for Mahomes and the I expect the run game to be more of a factor. Kelce bounces back big and the Chiefs Defense looks to redeem itself and get more pressures while doing a much better job defending the run
What’s your prediction for the game?
