Tonight somebody will get their first win, and the number of winless teams in the AFC will go from 5 to 4. There are only 3 AFC teams that even have a winning record, which goes to show how clear the class distinctions are this year. There’s the Patriots and Chiefs, then the mediocre teams, then the crap teams.
Bu enough about the matchup that was forced on us tonight, let’s talks about an actually exciting team, our very own Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes has gotten most of the headlines, but did you know that a quarter of the way through the season we have 3 players on pace for 1,000 receiving yards?
Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, and crazily enough Demarcus Robinson all have 250+ receiving yards. Of course Robinson is unlikely to reach that milestone since Hill will eat up some of his touches once he returns from injury, but it’s still nice to see him filing in nicely.
In other stats news the Dolphins are allowing their opponents to average a passer rating of 137.6, which is absolutely absurd. Mahomes’ passer rating is 120.4 so far this season, so the Dolphins make their opponents look like MVP favorites. And on the other side they have a team passer rating of 52.5, easily the worst in the NFL.
The NFL should force them to cancel their season and forfeit all their games. We’ve seen the Lions and Browns go 0-16, but they were at least occasionally competitive. Will the Dolphins even get a close loss this year?
