Fair Overtime Rules Shouldn’t Be This Hard For The NFL – Arrowhead Guys

[…] in the excitement of the announcement that Kansas City will host the NFL draft in 2023 was the NFL’s decision to pass on the Chiefs’ proposal to give both teams the chance to […]

Good job to the people that made that happen! Congrats, KC! Should be fun. This year’s freshman (?) will be the picks that year.

Gersidi76

Yay! I stay every year at the Holiday Inn in the Plaza so I’ll be able to walk to the draft that year. Awesome!

Berserker

This is awesome, but I’m not gonna lie – I probably won’t go to days 2 or 3 festivities, because I like following the draft on the internet too much. I am a nerd.

Tony Sommer

That’s what technology is for.

Berserker

Agreed. Technology is so that I can sit on a couch and see everything instead of standing in a parking lot and seeing very little.

MasterBlaster7
MasterBlaster7

Who said that? Budah or Sun Tzu?

Berserker

Well, Buddha was fatter, so…..

so that I can sit on a couch

Druful

Eh, Sun Tzu would have said ‘Those whose view encompasses the totality of the draft will always triumph over those with a more limited view’.

Or something.

Berserker

Confucius say “Draft enter through broken Windows.”

Great news for the city, hoorah!

Any chance there could be a sitewide supression of anything by Brooke Pryor?

If it is necessary to name her in an emergency session perhaps just by the pseudonym Angry Cow?

A small endorsement of journalism.

Who the F is Brooke Pryor?

Exactly!

What? You are excited about Rodger Goodell tainting our soil once again?

Remeber, he was there Dee Ford was ‘off sides’ destroying our Super Bowl run

comment image

Fuck…even looks like Goodell…I never noticed that before.

starry1

I’m saying that I’m going home for the draft.

As far as Gooddell goes, its four years away, he might stroke out by then.

MasterBlaster7
MasterBlaster7

We are the Chiefs….we won the super bowl in 70 got Mahomie in 17….we only get that lucky (Gooddell strokes out) twice a century……come see me in 2067 hahahaha.

Don’t disrespect Tim Curry like that.

I know you cant do it but there needs to be a rule that the hosting city cant trade away the 1st round pick for the year they host. With this much of a warning I might have to make the trek from central Okie land to go witness it and would hate if Veach does his normal thing of hating 1st rounders

venturachief
venturachief

Do you wish KC kept their 1st rounder in 2018?

Tarkus

And 2018, for that matter.

venturachief
venturachief

Yeah, I fixed that timeline error.

Tarkus

And 2017, for that matter.

Berserker

We’re keeping our 2017 first rounder. I hope we keep him until he retires.

Tarkus

Actually, we traded our 2017 first rounder.

Berserker

….Pretty sure the point of discussion was about not having a first round draft pick with which to draft a player in the first round.

Berserker

How about attention to, uh, whatever you call really obvious things that aren’t so much details?

slackator
slackator

obviously not, but if Im traveling a few hundred miles to come see the draft I want to make sure my team actually has a pick, not sit through the night and only get to boo Goodell for everybody elses pick

This is awesome. I actually wanted this over hosting the Superbowl. Looks like a blast and much more affordable.

KC Dude (A.K.A Zif)

OT… Looks like things here are gonna get worse before they get better. Muskogee flood 2019.

Bummer. Y’all got hit really hard yesterday.

Never thought I’d say “please God, no more rain” in Oklahoma.

slackator

Junes gonna be miserable due to this rain. Im thinking were in for another 1998 like year of 100 days of 100+ weather and unbelievably bad humidity

Hope y’all hang in there, sending positive thoughts. Meanwhile forest fires raging in northern Alberta, 700 kilometres north of Edmonton.

Jeez, I hope it settles down soon. I will be driving up there next week for my father’s funeral. Will also be cleaning up his house, which has about an inch of water in the kitchen and garage.

Tony Sommer

Tony Sommer

Not too bad on my prediction I don’t think.

Berserker

Denver will try to grab that open 2022 draft just to Elway us in the ass.

Or should that be, just to poke us in the Elway? Either way.

Tony Sommer

Fine by me, my sister lives there so I’d have an excuse to go.

Berserker

Eh, it wouldn’t bother me. As long as they don’t pollute the broadcast with a bunch of Bronco propaganda.

I’ve actually never been to Denver, except for one of our service centers on the outskirts once. I’d guess their draft hosting capabilities would be about the same as KC’s since they’re about the same size.

Mitko

Any idea where they’ll hold it? I’m hoping Union Station and not P&L

CHIEFSandSABRES

I’ll be back in Missouri by then!

KC Dude (A.K.A Zif)

Calling dibs on your couch for this then.

CHIEFSandSABRES

The farm is about 2 hours and 45 minutes from K.C., but you are welcome to come on out!

Kcjulian113
Kcjulian113

This news on top of the Royals beating the Cards. Good day.

CHIEFSandSABRES

Solid Royals victory. Take a break and do it again in a couple hours!

Mitko

Alright Wustl I’m happily eat this crowcomment image

Tony Sommer

Told you I have a good read on what the owners are thinking.

MasterBlaster7

That looks delicious…enjoy haha

Good gawd, the presentation is horrible. It should be resting on a potato puree with some lightly dressed greens.

Dave

TBD still beat us out 🤦‍♂️

Kcjulian113
Kcjulian113

Yeah, I hate that guy

Tarkus

Worse than PTBNL?

KC Dude (A.K.A Zif)

Saw that. Any bets that TBD becomes LA if they finish their stadium soon?

Tony Sommer

Likely either LA or Denver. Denver was one of those finalists that was announced a couple years ago, while the new stadium in LA was specifically marketed for holding the draft (among other things), so I think the NFL will want them to get it sooner than later.

4thQtrMagic
4thQtrMagic

Mexico City! lol

Tarkus

L.A. makes sense. They should be in their new stadium next year, along with the Raiders in Las Vegas.

Tony Sommer

They’re probably seeing if they can do it with LA also hosting the Super Bowl that year.

Tarkus

Oh, guess I forgot about that.

Mitko

I think it has to do with the airport being done between 2022 and 2023

rollin with mahomies
rollin with mahomies

This. The best news out of this is that this will put pressure on getting the airport finished on time

Berserker

I’m hoping for some CBP facilities (direct international flights, booyah!) and an inter-terminal transit system that makes sense.

Mitko

435 might be done by 2023….. Maybe
