The “Why do we even have editions?” edition.

So I missed the second AAF game, was it any good? That’s about all I have, but I’m not worried.

After all, if there are things that need to be said, y’all we be here to say them. So let’s cue something up, and…

With that, time’s yours.

Who you got for winning the West? Orlando looks to be the favorite in the East.

Cooked a delicious beef bourguignon and ratatouille confit byaldi tonight. And after a 4 hour cook, burned my hand grabbing a hot skillet handle. Stings like all hell. Might’ve made things worse by applying ice too.

But I’ll be damned if the deliciousness wasn’t worth it.

So, where’s Fist been lately?

I was wondering that yesterday. I was going to ask too but forgot.

Tony Sommer

This may be the greatest NBA highlight ever.

The block that went in?

I was waiting for something else to happen

After looking at the top three LBs a little bit (Mack and the Devins), I would not draft Mack before the 4th round. And I would draft Bush ahead of White. Come at me.

KC Dude (A.K.A Zif)

Mack is the best he will ever be. Bama tends to get the best but they hit their ceiling by the time they are ready to draft. Hard pass on any Bama D player.

So, is Trent Richardson the most spectacular bust of recent memory? (Recent memory being a subjective thing, as I know that Tarkus considers CS&N recent memory.)

I’m thinking so, because he’s a double-bust – drafted 3rd overall and busted, and then traded for a 1st round pick and busted again.

Tony Sommer

I’d say Trubisky. I know the Bears did well this year, but he still looks like a backup outside of a handful of good games. Not only did he go #2 overall, but they passed on Mahomes who looks to be the best (or one of the best) QB in the NFL going forward and Watson who looks serviceable and even traded up for the rights to pass on those two for Trubisky.

Oof, that’s a little harsh on Trubisky. Just because I have seen him have some good games, whereas Trent was never any good. But yeah, passing on Mahomes ups the stakes a little….But then if you’re gonna go that angle, don’t you have to also put Josh Allen right up there?

Tony Sommer

Yeah, but that’s a bit more complicated because it was different drafts. And the Bills actually got some good players out of that trade, the Bears gave up picks.

Tony Sommer

And for Trubisky, I loved the Bears going into 2018 and they made me look smart. But I’m down on them going into 2019 mainly because of Trubisky. It’s so hard to maintain that great of a defense over several seasons, so when they revert back to the mean a little Trubisky won’t be able to win games.

Trubisky has already produced more than Richardson ever did

Was the Richardson trade one of the worst in recent memory?

If not the worst, probably the stupidest.

AAF?
I watched The Walking Dead.

KC Dude (A.K.A Zif)

Bad move. There is future talent in the AAF.

Tony Sommer

It was a good game. Salt Lake had a (slim) chance at a comeback but they roughed the punter which allowed Arizona to run out the clock.

KC Dude (A.K.A Zif)

Probably the best game out of the four. Unless you enjoy offense. In which case it was a game we couldn’t watch unless you knew about the YouTube thing before we did.
