AAF Game Thread

This evenings game starts at 7:00 PM Arrowhead Guys time. Tonight’s match up is the Salt Lake at the Arizona Hotshots.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind for these match ups. First and foremost. This is a brand new league, and as of yet none of these teams have any tape on the other teams. For the first couple of games we will be seeing coaches scheming against the past tendencies of the opposing coach.

Second on the list… These players are looking to make a NFL team, so we may see some players early on that will catch our attention, but we will need to see how they perform as the season goes on before we start calling for one player or another to be called up to the big leagues.

The third item on the list is that apparently the San Antonio Commanders is the adopted team of the Chiefs. Here’s to hoping the league delivers on the promise of developing offensive linemen.

How to watch the game:

Also, why are the Arizona Hotshots claimed by an entire state when the rest of the teams are relegated to a single city? Talk about stacking the deck…

Tony Sommer

That hasn’t seemed to help the Cardinals or Vikings win any Super Bowls.

Are they immediately replaying the game or something?

That hurt to watch!

“Salt Lake QBs” with no individual profile… reminds me of playing old-school Tecmo Super Bowl, when the QB was named “QB [team]” and was number 0 if a player was unknown.

Wait, when they showed the announcers they said Marvin Lewis’ twitter account as @TheAAF. Is he in charge of the AAF twitter account, or does he just not have one so they put the AAF’s there?

I choose to believe he’s changing careers to social media coordinator

As long as he doesn’t take Arians with him.

That first trainer that ran out there for AZ… brown hair, ponytail, khaki pants… I wasn’t hating that view.

Also, found: the lady referee.

Not sure if anyone else has made this observation, but the “S” in “Hotshots” looks like the “s” in “Chiefs”… ours looks to be a bold-face version of the same font.

Little bit different, but they are very similar typefaces.

I really like the CHIEFS typeface, and also the ARROWHEAD one. The logo is not good though. The Arrowhead Guys logo is much better.

Dangerous game. Refs wearing Kevlar vests.
