Chiefs news for 7 February 2019
This is a really interesting article. I highly recommend reading it.
By 2010, the Chiefs were very much a moneymaker, according to the team’s tax returns from that year, which were recently obtained by The Star. Those returns show:
There is little correlation between the team’s on-field performance and how much money it makes.
That year, the grown children of team founder Lamar Hunt split nearly $40 million in gross operating income. A team executive said they reinvested more than half of it in the team.
Some of the costs fans grumble about the most, such as parking, amount to a tiny fraction of the team’s overall revenues.
The NFL Scouting Combine is scheduled to run from February 26 to March 4. The Chiefs have a first-round pick this year after not having one in 2018 and also have two second-round picks, so there will be a number of Chiefs draft candidates working out in Indianapolis. The idea is that he can play the C gap (between the tackle and inline tight end) and defend the run. At times he’ll be asked to get after the quarterback, but on clear passing downs the Chiefs will likely bring in another defensive end with length and quickness.

The YouTube channel released the video featuring highlights from the 2018-2019 NFL season with hilarious lip dubbing on Friday. Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, head coach Andy Reid, former defensive coordinator Bob Sutton and punter Dustin Colquitt are all featured.
At $3,500 per night, the price might seem steep for Bowe Island, but the listing says the house can accommodate 12 people on site, which means if you had a large group of friends, you could all split the cost to make things more affordable. Imagine a long friends weekend at Bowe Island and how much fun you would have.
